One of the kindest things you ever said to me was that you would wait. You always did wait. You waited until I was ready and sometimes I required a shove. You waited before you did anything. A strip of patience for every impatient thought I fed the world. You waited, for waiting was in your nature. You taught me the value of patience and I knew that no other man could have done that. There is a difference between 'patience' and 'delayed gratification'. One is a humble act expectant of nothing and the second waits life out because it wants more. You, my dear, have made me a man of patience.
