Memory 53

Racism, I knew it existed and had been lucky enough to ignore the ignorance it sprouted from. In the old town, racism was never really shown while here it could be seen in almost everything. A purple elephant in the room, for the lack of better words. I didn't appreciate the crass nature of racism at all and had to bite my tongue on numerous occasions. As much as I missed you, I needed this job too. So I ignored the racist comments and kept quiet about the aggression. I forgot the fact that you would protect me from monsters.
