Memory 89

Sugar cookies and the park. We watched the fireworks like any other family. Sometimes we'd get carried away in our thoughts and snatched kisses. You painted faces of little kids and teenagers brave enough to ask. I fed them sugar cookies, which I had surprisingly not messed up. The smell of barbecue and a night filled with amazing fireworks. I couldn't help but be glad that we belonged to each other. I couldn't wait to tell you the secret I had been planning. It was the last memory where I remember just hugging you and slow dancing,  even though I was horrible at it.
