Memory 76

High school teenagers of the foster system. They were the most difficult to deal with. We got the bitter ones. The kids who had long ago lost hope in the idea of humanity. They thought they were not worth anything and felt entitled to everything. They were an interesting set of humans. Some had severe addictions: drugs, alcohol, self-harm. A constant cycle of feeling worthless. You made them feel a little bit better about it all. Every single one of them, even the angels we had lost, felt worthy of you. You trusted them and they you. A relationship base I could only hope to duplicate.
