You know how there are theories that the trio is supposed to represent the three other houses (Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Hufflepuff), but they were put into Gryffindor because they asked for it.
In that theory
Hermione=Ravenclaw
Ron=Hufflepuff
Harry=Slytherin
But I disagree. I feel like Harry would have been in Hufflepuff and Ron would have been in Slytherin.
Why, you may ask.
Well, first of all, remember the Mirror of Erised scene? Harry saw his family in the mirror. Ron saw himself as Head Boy, Quidditch Captain holding the Quidditch Cup.
Next point:
Harry defeated Voldemort because he wanted to defend his friends, loved ones. He let Voldemort kill him just so that the Wizarding World would be safe.
So, I'm not saying that Ron doesn't fit into Hufflepuff. He could also be a Hufflepuff. But if we sort the trio into three separate houses, I think Harry fits better into Hufflepuff and Ron fits better into Slytherin.
