Ruth

The next morning, Chance drives me to school again. During lunch time Riley sits with me.

"Hey, I should come over you know. To your house... wouldn't that be awesome?" She smiles but I feel scared as fùck.

No WAY am I letting my first ever friend come to MY apartment and meet Chance.

Chance

I get home early because I don't have any classes in the afternoon. I text Stacy and tell her to come over when she's done. I think she has one class in the afternoon then that's it for the day?

The notification light dings and I open the door for her.

"Hey babe!" She flings her arms around me

I breath in her heavy scent of expensive perfume and soap. It's kind of weird, I've been spending loads of time with Ruth that I've been getting used to her scarce lavender and strawberry shampoo. She doesn't wear perfume, which is actually nice but when I smell Stacy it's actually a bit repellent.

She pulls away from me and flounces into the house, I think about how Ruth always shuffles in awkwardly into one direction: her room.

I look at the time, I have about two hours with Stacy until I have to pick up Ruth.

"Babe, why haven't you been calling me lately?" She pouts innocently.

"I dunno, I've been kinda busy." I run my hands through my dark hair.

"Yeah, starting college can be stressful ", she moves closer to me

"True that." I chuckle

"I know just what you need to relax!" Then before I even I even know what's going on she whips herself on top of me and bites her lip.

Well, I know how we're going to be spending those two hours.

We didn't go any further than making out and touching and stuff but I did end up shirtless by the time I had to pick up Ruth.

I slowly push Stacy off of me.

"Babe, I have to go and pick up Ruth." I give her a sad smile and she frowns

"Why can't her new friend drive her? She's always hanging out with this ditsy blonde at school. She drives a land cruiser prado, there's rumours that her dad gave her that to get her to shut up about his several mistresses to her mom." She giggles lightly then starts kissing me again before I could even say anything.

I guess a few minutes more wouldn't hurt.

Ruth

I walk outside with Riley as I wait for Chance. I don't usually have to wait for him, he's normally just there.

"Hey, I'll wait with you for your ride." She sits down on a bench with me while we wait

Riley tries to keep me company by going off about random unimportant things until she stops.

"Ruth, we've been here for an hour now. I'll just drive you home." She pats my knee and I follow her to her car.

I've heard some horrible rumours about it.

I type in my address in her GPS before I get in and she follows the instructions obediently.
