Ruth
When I was in the hospital, Chance visited me every day. But he'd act stranger than the day before every time he came. I wish I hadn't run out like that, he's probably blaming himself.
I was pissed at him but after those four weeks at the hospital it showed that he was sorry. He even apologised. Maybe he came because he was worried about me? Or that he cared about me?
No
I care about him, a lot. I don't think he does though.
But whatever, who could love this. He hardly knows me, I've only been living with him for about three months.
One of those spent in the hospital.
When I came home, of course Riley scheduled a sleepover the next day.
Which almost made me smile.
Chance
When Ruth came back home I was very happy, because she's okay. But I was also dreading it.
I don't want to have to face her 24/7. It'll just make me feel worse and worse about what I'm soon going to do.
I decide to take her out for something to kind of celebrate, and for a farewell party - for me.
Ruth
"Hey, Ruth. Let's go somewhere. To celebrate you leaving the hospital." Chance casually asks me from outside my room.
I don't answer, I just grab my bag and put on my shoes.
He stares at me wide - eyed and looks down at his body. That's when I notice he's only wearing a vest and sweats.
"Oh, now? Alright..." He leaves my room and gets dressed in his room.
I wait for him at the front door and he smiles at me as we leave.
☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺
"So, are you curious about where we're going?" He glances at me then back on the road.
I look out the window and see that we're in the countryside.
I've never been out here, my mom refused to take me somewhere with no cell service.
Not like I wanted to come
Pssh
I'm snapped out of my thoughts when the car comes to a halt.
I look around again and see a large, wooden hut thing in front of a large field.
I watch Chance leave the car and then I realise that we've arrived.
Where's this guy taken me?
I follow him into the hut thing and I see that it's a stable... for horses.
And horses poop.
Ew.
I mean, I poop as well but horse's poop is grosser.
Yes, not a word I know.
"Hey! Uncle Ted!" Chance grins and walks into a little room next to the hut.
Reluctantly, I go in as well.
"Chance! What's going on m'boy?" A large (and I mean large), gruff man stands up from a desk to greet Chance.
"Not much, how's things here?"
I look around the room, it's quite neat Horse paintings hanging symmetrically on the wall. Horse shoes decorated in the corner.
