It's Friday.

And Ruth will be mine by Saturday.

After today, it got me thinking. If Ruth and I really became official... will it be all that different from what we have now?

I don't think so.

So, what do I have to lose? If she says no, I mean - I dunno.

I'd probably... I can't even think of it.

But, if she says 'Yes'... I can't even explain it.

I spent all day planning what I'm going to do... I got Riley in on it and everything.

Let's just say it involves card, a beach, a restaurant, and Ruth.

By the time I arrive home after my planning, Ruth's already asleep I assume as all the lights are off.

I go to my room and turn on the light. Only to see Ruth, sound asleep on my bed.

The next morning, I wake up super early to leave and get the plan sorted.

Ruth

I wake up in Chance's empty bed, did he not come home last night?

I flinch when I hear a ding on the bedside table, Riley.

"Hey, Ruth! I'm coming over, let's go to the beach today!"

I grunt into my pillow and gradually get dressed into jeans and a plain white t-shirt.

Where on earth is Chance? It's a Saturday for christ's sake.

After a while, I hear Riley knock at the door, I open it and she with another girl from college sashays in wearing bikinis.

"Ruth! You can't come wearing that, it's the BEACH." Riley inspects me

To be honest, I didn't want to come to this anyway so... WHAT.

I roll my eyes and walk out of the apartment, expecting them to follow.

"Fine, but you look like our mom." 

Reluctantly, they follow me to Riley's car.

For the whole drive there, they chat about random college stuff. Boys, boys, boring classes... and boys.

We get there and straight away they run towards the ocean, I hang back as I'm not planning on getting wet.
