Chapter 6: Not mean't to be?

It was late. The sun had set beyond the grassy hills and the nights animals and insects came out. I said goodbye to Thomas and as we hugged, I realised his grip tightened. I opened my eyes and we let go of each other and we walked into our own houses, our own separate world once again.

That night. mum had made pasta. I spun my fork through my pasta, just playing with the bits of vegetables and meat.

"What's wrong sweetheart?" Mum asked, settling her fork down in her bowl.

The rest of my family fell silent as they looked up at me.

There wasn't actually anything wrong with me, I wasn't upset, I just couldn't stop thinking about Thomas. I'd felt that Thomas wasn't the same person at school at school then what he was at home. I liked it before we went back to school. He seems more crazy and open and school but at home when I first met him, he'd answer with short sentences and smile as he did, he had a cooling sense in his voice and in his expressions, that's how I liked it.

"Nothing," I replied, putting some pasta in my mouth.

Mum just nodded and picked up her fork again and so did everyone else.

After dinner, I went and took a long bath. I didn't care what the time was. But it was nice.

I'd soon finished and went to bed feeling much better than before.

In the morning, I felt great. I didn't think anything negative of Thomas anymore, which I was really relieved for. I got dressed and packed my sport clothes, since I had PE today and I knew what that meant, I got to see Thomas' muscles as we trained.

I glided down the stairs jumping to the floor. I couldn't be bothered to make a proper breakfast so I just grabbed an apple. I nibbled it, well nearly swallowed the whole thing, as quickly as I could so then I could go over to Thomas' early. I went and cleaned my teeth and grabbed my bag at the door.

"Sky! I called, 'I'm going over to Thomas' now, so I'll meet you there soon!"

"OKAY!" She called back.

Mum and dad had gone to work today so we had to lock up. Jayden never comes home much, he's moved in with his girlfriend and only comes here to either eat or just see mum and dad sometimes.

"Make sure you lock up!" I yelled and left.

I walked across the road over to Thomas' house where I knocked on the door, hoping his parents had gone to work as well.

Brendan opened the door and welcomed me in.

"Thought I'd come early," I said, as I walked into the kitchen.

Thomas came round the corner, holding an apple in his mouth as he did his belt around his pants. I stared, trying not to be to obvious that I was checking him out. He didn't have his shirt on yet and his hair was a mess, but a good gorgeous mess. He had his socks on and had just slid his feet in so his heels were bending down the back of the shoe.

'Hewo," he said, attempting the word 'hello,' with the apple in his mouth.

He finished doing his belt and pulled the apple out of his mouth where I could capture all his muscles moving at once.

"Hey," I replied, getting up. I decided to go and give him a hug but he had put his arms out first.

THIS WAS AWESOME! I got to hug Thomas without his shirt on.

He put his half eaten apple on the bench and he grabbed his shirt off the lounge. He put it on, not doing the button yet. He grabbed the tie and put it under it collar, leaving his collar up.
