Claire and I then switch dresses and went out of the fitting room again. "Okay this dress color is perfect on me. Monett is so right." Claire says. She had lighter skin than me so it doesn't match with the color of the dress that much.
I look at the mirror and realise that the black dress suits me better. "So, happy with the dress?" Claire asks me. "Yeah. I guess this dress is better." I say. "Perfect! Let's go and pay." Claire says. We changed to our normal outfits first before going towards the cashier.
"Guess Monett has better taste than me. Oh tell her we say thanks." Claire says. "Oh right." Claude says, searching for her phone from her bag. "She says it was Brittany's idea." Claude says. "Ooh then tell her we say thank you." Claire says. I stood silently, not commenting anything.
"Omg I swear Brittany is going to be in our group soon. We just fit so well." Fay says. "Yeah, I know right." The others agreed, but I stayed silent. "What do you think Rosaline? You've been really quiet today." Claude says. "Um..yeah. She's alright." I say, trying to not sound hesitant.
"Pff, Rosaline is just jealous because someone is getting close to Brittany instead of her." Fay says teasingly. The others laughed, but I somehow felt annoyed. "No I'm not. It's just..she is new, we can't just be friends with someone we barely know." I say.
"Hah! Yep somebody's jealous." Fay says. "Ooo wow Rosaline. Finally found someone who caught your heart, eh?" Claude teases. "Woohoo I told you. You and Harry are something." Claire joins in.
I felt my hint of annoyance bursting. "No! I..I don't like him that way okay?!" I shout, making a few people glare at me. My friends were just looking at me with a frightened expression.
Fay then says, "Woah...chill Rosaline. It's just...you've been dating him and all."
"I don't even know why I dated him in the first place! Guess SOMEONE just wanted me to go out with him so much. He's just a jerk like I predicted. Why else do you think I don't plan on dating someone in the first place?" I shout again. My friends stayed silent not knowing what to say. It's always like this when I suddenly get mad. It's going to be an awkward silence followed by my sense of guilt.
Funny thing is, when one of the others get mad, they usually laugh it off. But when it comes to me, there will be that awkward situation. I sometimes wonder about that, am I that scary when I get angry?
Suddenly I felt like crying, and tears were about to escape. I need to get out. I don't want my friend's pity right now. I decided to make a run for it. I dashed away from them, trying to find the exit. But my tears were already covering my eyes, blurring my vision. Suddenly I bump into someone.
"Oh sorry." I say, looking up. I couldn't really see the guy's face. I rubbed my eyes a bit and gasped as I saw Harry in front of me. His facial expression wasn't any different from mines. I looked behind him and found the exit and tried to walk pass him, but his hands were quick enough to grab my arm.
"Woah, where are you going? You alright?" He asks, making me face him. His eyes were just staring right at me with that worried face.
I feel so annoyed. Why is everyone annoying me right now? "I'm fine." I say while giving all my strength to get out of his grip.
"Fine?! Your eyes are full of tears, not explaining your red face. Now tell me what's wrong." Harry says, gripping me tighter. I stood still for a while, trying my best to control my anger.
"Rose.."
"What do you care?!" I say, probably startling him and making his grip a bit loose. I used the chance to make a dash for it. I made it down the escalators and and headed out to the parking lot.
Dang it! I used Claire's car to get here. AND of course I have forgotten to bring that party dress with me. I wonder if it's a long walk from here to my house? Of course it is.
I sigh before randomly sitting on the sidewalk, resting my head on my knees.
"You alright?" A familiar voice says. I lift my head up and look around until I spot Louis. What is he doing here?
"Rosaline?!" Louis says in shock. "Oh. Um. Yeah.." I say, wiping my eyes. "What happened to you? God, you look like such a wreck."
"It's a long story."
"You heading home? I can give you a lift. I'm about to go."
"Oh sure." I say, quickly standing up. So glad that Louis is here.
"What makes you come here in this fine fine day?" I ask. Louis shrugs as he opens the door of his car. "What? A guy can't go to malls these days?"
I giggle a bit. "No. Its just that I didn't know a guy like you would be the mall type."
"Oh I was buying stuff for the party tomorrow. So excited. It's going to be epic." Louis says fist pumping. Suddenly he sees my expression again.
"You're coming right? I'll pick you up if I have to. You really need it. Judging from whatever you've been through today. Anyways, what happened?"
I turned my head to the window, sensing that we are near to my house. "I don't want to talk about it."
"Okay. Fine. Still need a ride tomorrow?"
"I'll be fine, Louis. Thanks for the ride by the way. You're a lifesaver." I say as we have arrived.
"You're welcome. Oh and by the way, call me if you're near. Don't want you to be alone. Oh...is Shay coming?" Louis asks.
"Um..I don't think so. She needs to cover for me honestly and you know how she can't handle alcohol." I say, attempting to make a small giggle.
"Oh okay. See you tomorrow!" Louis says, waving goodbye as he drove his car away.
