"Ty'll be back later." Drake says as he sets the food for dinner on the table. We start reaching for it while Drake watches us with amusement, as always.
"Where is he?" I ask, still fight for the food.
"I think he's studying at the library." Drake says, looking around the room.
"Oh, why wouldn't he just study in his room?" I ask taking the first bite of my taco.
"I don't know, Kyla." Drake snaps, standing up and walking towards the door. He grabs his keys before shouting that he'll be back later. He walks out the door, slamming it as he goes. I shrug my shoulders and go back to eating my taco.
"I can't wait for Friday." Dylan says after he finishes his second taco.
"Why?" I ask confused. What's Friday? They have a game, but that's every Friday so that can't be the reason.
"First day that we're done with 'cheerleading'." He answers still eating.
"Oh, yeah. Scrimmage and pep-rally are Thursday." I say more to myself.
"Any boys giving you trouble?" Logan asks.
"Not really." I reply with a shrug.
"Teach them a lesson." Bryan states looking me straight in the eyes. I nod and they move on to a different topic.
"Kyla?" Dylan asks causing them all to look at me.
"Hm?"
"You okay?"
"I'm fine, but I'm tired. I'm going to bed, I'll see you guys later." I say getting up and walking out of the room. I go up to my room and take a much needed shower, before I fall into bed getting caught up on days worth of sleep I skipped.

"After football practice, we're going to the warehouse." Alex announces when I sit down for lunch.
"Okay, sounds good." I reply.
"Where are your brothers?" Connor asks looking at the football table.
"Do I look like my brothers' keeper?" I ask.
"True point." Talia says looking at Connor.
"Well they could've told you." Connor shrugs.
"Ha, no. My brothers are teenage boys, I don't care about knowing where they are." I reply slowly. My phone lights up signaling a text. I look down and see Logan's name.
Logan: Can you get a ride with your friends home today? We have plans.
Kyle: Wow, thanks.
Logan: Is that a yes or no?
Kyle: Yep.
I laugh remembering when Logan set my contact name in his phone to Kyle. I look back up to them seeing they're in a different conversation. The bell rings signaling time to go to class. We go our separate ways, me heading to the math and science building.

"Hey, Nicole." Talia chirps falling into step with me. Alex walks up on my other side and I smile at them.
"I can not wait for football to end!" Alex exaggerates.
"Despite the exercise part, it's pretty fun." I reply as we reach the locker room.
"I hate football." Talia whines causing Alex to laugh.
"You hate all sports." Alex points out, causing me to laugh.
