"What's going on?" I ask walking up to Talia and Alex at Talia's locker.
"I don't know..." Alex replies still trying to see over the crowd. Michael pushes past the crowd which worries me. I follow after him, pushing a few people who won't move. I freeze when I see what's happening, Bryan has Logan pinned against a locker. Logan's smug grin tells me he set Bryan off. Bryan's been snappy all week. Nobody's pushed him, nobody except Logan. Logan's been testing him all week. Michael and Dylan try to pull Bryan off of Logan. I walk closer.
"Bry, let him go." I say softly. Yelling at him isn't a good approach with Bryan, he has a bit of a temper.
"Kyla, get back." Michael warns shooting me a quick look before putting his focus back on our angry brother.
"Bryan, I'll tell them why you've been like this all week. Just let him go." I beg. Bryan's a bit unpredictable, I've only seen him look this angry once before, it ended with the guy in the hospital and Bryan suspended for giving a teacher a black eye. Mom and dad got that mess cleared up with him having a week's suspension and then it being forgotten about. Bryan looks at me with a glare and I raise an eyebrow.
"Kyla, get to lunch." He says, letting Logan go, hesitantly. He walks away while Michael and Dylan watch him with careful eyes.
"Logan, pull that unicorn crap again and Bryan won't be the one you should fear." I turn towards him after Bryan's out of sight. Logan nods before I turn and walk away. Talia and Alex trailing behind me with questions.
"What happened?" Connor asks as we sit down at the table. Thomas and Cecelia turn towards us.
"Not much, just boys being boys." I reply with a shrug. Michael, Logan, and Dylan all walk in causing all heads to turn towards them. I raise an eyebrow at Logan when he looks at me. He nods in response and I sigh in relief.
"Boys are weird." Talia complains. Alex, Cecelia, and I nod in agreement.
"Girls are confusing." Connor says looking towards Abigail. I look at Talia in confusion, she shrugs in response. My phone buzzes so I check it.
Bryan: Would you have really told them?
Kyla: Bry, trust me, for once.
Bryan: You're the one always threatening to tell.
Kyla: You're the one acting like an idiot.
I lock my phone after muting our conversation. I'm not letting him get to me. I join into the conversation with my friends, that feels weird saying. My friends. They are my friends. It's weird, I've never had friends, I've had people to talk to in classes, but once class ended those people went to their friends. I would either go to the library or my brothers. Their friends accepted me, probably because if they said anything Michael and Logan would deal with it, but what helped was me being a tomboy. I knew how to not bring the guys down. I didn't care about clothes or hair, never wanted my nails done, and my phone is hardly ever in my hands, only when I'm bored. I eat like a guy and talk about football so why would they mind? Well until we started playing, then they remembered I was a girl and loved pointing it out. Logan always made sure I played though. The bell rings, bringing me back to reality. I grab my bag and head towards lovely fifth period, which I just so happen to have with my brothers, let the fun begin.

"I'm going with my friends. I'll be home by curfew." I say as Talia waves me over. They are so impatient.
"Okay, text Ty so we don't forget." Dylan says as Michael comes over. Logan and Bryan are both over passing the ball.
"I will." I say walking away.
