~~TALIA'S POV~~

A week. It's been a week. Kyla's still in the hospital, unconscious. Her brothers were forced to go to school, but they weren't with it. Lucas was there, Connor said football practice has been tense. Logan tried to go after Lucas on Monday, Corey saved him though. Jordan and Justin along with Kyla's brothers and Connor just watched, not caring enough to intervene. Jordan told me him and Justin decided to let Logan get in a punch, before stopping him. That didn't happen since Corey stopped it, but whatever.

"Alex texted, her and Connor are already there." Thomas announces walking into my room. I nod, grabbing my purse and phone, before following him out. We get in his car and he takes off. This past week, I almost started to believe Thomas cares about Kyla. Like he's been there every day. Quiet all week at school. Looking a lot like the rest of us. He pulls up to the hospital so I get up, ignore the receptionist's sad smile directed towards me, walking all the way up to her room. Standing outside is Connor and Alex, waiting for us. Kyla's dad banned anyone, including her brothers, from being in there, but then Monday, Tyson talked him into giving us all access. Nobody says anything about how many people are in the room at once, seeing as nobody wants to bother her dad. I have yet to meet him, but I honestly hope I never do. From what I've heard, he's not someone you want to meet.

"Tyson said we have ten minutes each. I told him we can all go in at once and get it over with." Alex says quietly when she sees me.

"Can I go in after you three?" I ask just as quietly. Thomas looks at me wearily before giving Alex a nod.

"Of course." She gives me a small smile before they disappear into the room. Six of her brothers come out of the room, a minute later. Dylan looks at me confused, but never stops walking. They all pass, silently, until I'm once again, alone, in this hallway. The past week has been terrible, avoiding nosey people has taken up most of my time. The rest of it's been spent in this hospital. We're either in the room with her, in the waiting room, or down at the cafeteria. Pacing the hallways is also a great way to spend my time. Although, that catches nurses attentions.

You know it's funny, you go to school with people for years, and never once talk to them, but all of a sudden your friend's brothers are out of it and your friend is missing so these people decide to come to you for answers on your friend's brothers. All week at school, Alex, Connor, Thomas, and I have all been asked multiple times by teachers and students what's going on. Alls Kyla's family told the school was that she'd be out for awhile with doctor's notes. I just hate that this all has happened and to top it all off the brothers have to deal with finding out about their new brother, which has to be complicated.

"Hey..." Someone taps me on the shoulder and by Alex talking to me, I'm going to take a wild assumption that she did it. I turn towards her, instantly being wrapped in her arms.

"You can go in now." Connor says, walking out. Alex lets me go and I give her a soft smile, before entering the room. Laying on her bed, Kyla looks so out of it. I just wish she'd open her eyes, come back to us. I haven't known her that long, but I still care about her. That's my problem, I trust too easily. I care too soon.

"Nicole, you have to wake up." I say, sitting in the chair beside her bed. "Please."

~~KYLA'S POV~~

Silence. Darkness. Pain. There's nothing but silence, darkness, and pain. I try to open my eyes, but they won't work with me. I keep trying, until eventually, they open.

White. Light. That's all I see. I look around, confused.

"Talia?" I croak out, confused. She jumps, looks over at me, before doing a double take to make sure I'm really here. "Where am I?"
