"Wake up." A voice whispers in my ear, jerking me awake. I hear laughter and turn around to see Connor lying beside me laughing so hard. I grab my phone to check the time, 10:30.
"I hate you." I get up and grab my clothes, going into the bathroom to get ready. I change into the turquoise tank top with a black anchor on it. My black skinnies and black converse. I slip on a black beanie and throw the BVB bracelets around my wrist. I don't bother with makeup, we're just driving home. I go back out into the room to see a smirking Connor.
"Ready to head home?" He asks. I shake my head, getting my stuff together and walking out, a smirking Connor trailing behind. I check the time again, 11:30
"You are paying for food." I state, when I get into his passenger seat.
"So needy." He jokes.
"So stupid." I mock.
"So rude." His tone changes to one of a child.
"So stupid." I repeat, shaking my head.
Nicole: How's life? Everything as I left it?
Tal: What are you talking about?
Nicole: Nothing?
Alex: Do you know something?
Nicole: What would I know?
Alex: Nothing.
Tal: Gosh, what's with all the questions, Kyla?
Nicole: Okay... I'll see you guys when I get home.
Tal: Miss you!
Alex: School is boring today!
"Talia and Alex are acting weird." I say, casually, hoping he knows something.
"They always act weird. It's their personalities." He shrugs.
"I mean weirder than usual." I say.
"Probably just one of those days." He knows something... I know he does... I can feel it.
"Yeah... Probably..." I nod, watching him, suspiciously.
"Stop staring at me like that, it's creepy." He says. I scoff.
"Staring at you? Please." I roll my eyes, annoyed with him.
"Well if you're willing to beg to..." He trails off. My eyes snap to him.
"Are you serious right now?" I ask, angrily.
"You really are an eager one." He's about to get a punch in that face of his... If only he wasn't driving.
"I hate you so much." I inform him. He chuckles at that!
"Are you ready to be home?" He asks, turning all serious.
"I don't know... I mean I didn't really spend much time thinking, but I didn't expect to, I was just hoping getting away would help, but I don't know..." I answer, looking out the window as Oklahoma passes us by.
"Are you going to OU for college?"
"I want to. I've wanted to for as long as I could remember." I shrug. This place is perfect, I don't want to leave.
"It is cool." He says. I turn my head to see him nodding.
"Do you want to?"
"I don't know... My dad's here, but my mom's there... I spent high school with my mom, I think I should at least going to college close to my dad." He says.
