"Kyla, party this weekend, you in?" Talia asks cautiously.
"Why not?" I shrug.
"YAY!" Talia shouts. Alex's very quiet. Connor seems normal which tells me he still doesn't know.
"Does this mean shopping?" Alex asks hopefully. Talia looks at me before looking back over at Alex and nodding.
"Me, you, mall. Today after school?" Talia asks. Alex smiles, a real smile.
"It's a date." Alex replies before two beautiful girls walk up to our table. One has black hair with bright green eyes, while the other has brown hair and electric blue eyes. Alex stiffens and her smile evaporates. Talia's glaring at the brunette who sits beside Connor. Her friend sits beside Thomas and I assume that these girls are Abigail and Cecelia. A blond boy with brown eyes walks into the cafeteria looking at our table, or Alex. Gonna guess Adam, by the glares her and Talia are sending his way. He walks to the football table and sits beside Lucas. I get up remembering that no one ever came to get me for Danielle. I walk towards the table earning panicked looks from Alex and Talia, I ignore them.
"Coopers." I say standing behind Lucas. Half the team looks at me, including Michael and Logan. Bryan's a little caught up with his little girlfriend. Dylan's a little caught up with food.
"Kyla..." Lucas replies, smiling nervously.
"Do not kill us!" Justin says loudly catching the other half of the team's attention.
"Dude, why would I kill you? Although someone should've told me they weren't coming." I reply causing them all to relax.
"Dani said she didn't need you. Texting didn't cross my mind." Lucas says sincerely. I smile at him, taking the empty seat beside him.
"Kyla, you coming to practice today?" Jaiden asks earning a glare from Corey.
"Doubt it." I shrug, stealing some fries from Lucas. He doesn't object which kind of takes the fun out of 'stealing' them.
"Not like practice will be much with the best players benched." Bryan replies harshly. I glare at him.
"Not like practice would be much with everyone fighting each other." I retort.
"Technically only Logan fought and not in practice." Justin supplies until I glare at him causing him to shut up.
"Technically not blocking isn't getting the job done either." I shoot at him.
"Technically yelling at us isn't accomplishing anything either." Jordan speaks up.
"No, but benching you did. See how well they played while everyone was trying." I throw back.
"Guys, end it now before she literally hurts one of you." Dylan tries to end this stupid argument.
"What'd I miss?" Adam asks, looking around.
"Adam, right?" I ask harshly. I tried ignoring him, he decided to talk. Don't blame me.
"Yeah...?" He replies confused.
"How about you try not talking. Also try never ever speaking to Alex again. While you're at it, don't talk to me either, because I'm about this close," I reply holding up a penny where you see how thin it is, "from breaking your wrist."
"Oh, friends with Alex? Yeah, not sure why you're so pissed at me, she broke up with me." He replies nonchalantly.
"Really? That's your story? You cheat on your girlfriend and get mad because she broke up with you?!" My voice raises.
