"Hey Kyla." Drake greets as I walk into the room. Everyone, except Tyson, is already here. I take a seat on the floor beside Michael, confused as to why Drake called a family meeting in the first place.
"So Tyson and I have some things to tell you all, but there is one thing that will affect Kyla the most." Drake starts, causing him to visibly stiffen. Michael wraps his arm loosely around my shoulders.
"Where's Ty?" Logan asks, taking notice of Tyson not being here after Drake said they both have news.
"That leads into one of the things that we have to tell." He says, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
"What is it?" Dylan asks quietly.
"I know you guys have taken notice of Ty and I not being around as much anymore. You guys kept asking questions that we refused to answer, but this should answer all of them." Drake says, before Tyson walks into the room with two young women. They both look around Tyson and Drake's age. One is blonde and the other has jet black hair. Drake wraps his arm around the one with black hair, who smiles shyly at us. Tyson grabs the blonde's hand.
"This is Tami and Kali." Tyson motions towards the one with black hair when saying Tami and lifts up his intertwined hands when saying Kali.
"You guys got girlfriends?" Michael asks in disbelief.
"What's the other thing? You said there were two things and one would affect me the most. What is the other thing?" I demand, my heart rate speeding up. I can barely breath, I'm terrified. What could it be? It couldn't be anything involving him, they would never tell me anything about him. Michael pulls me closer, like he's trying to shield me from whatever is about to be said.
"Uh... Yeah... Kyla, we um..." I have never in my life seen Tyson Richardson like this. He is always the one who knows the right thing to say. He's great with words. Never have I ever seen him not be able to form any, which scares me so much.
"We're moving." Drake blurts. My eyes widen and mouth falls open, as I look around me. What did he just say?
Silence follows his words. All of my brothers in the room, minus the two up front, are looking around confused and speechless.
"What?" Logan utters, looking lost.
"Hang on. I think I said it wrong. Tyson and I are leaving after the boys graduate." Drake tries to fix his mistake, but only makes the emptiness inside me grow.
"You're leaving?" I ask, voice shaky, tears in my eyes.
"Kyla... He didn't mean it like that." Tyson tries to explain, but I'm already leaving the room. I reach my room and shut the door, before breaking down.
William always used to say that I should get used to being alone and worthless, because at the end of the day that's all I'll ever be once everyone leaves.
I curl up on my floor and cry until I have no tears left. I grab my phone and manage to send one text before falling asleep.
Kyla: I need to tell you something tomorrow.

"Hey baby." Talia says, wrapping her arms around me as I lay my head on her shoulder, once I walk up to her.
"I have nowhere to go next year." I whisper, scared to say it too loudly, like maybe then it won't be true.
"What?" She asks, pulling back slightly so that I'm forced to raise my head and look at her.
"Every brother except Blake and Dylan will be in a whole different state going to college next year. I have nowhere to go." I say, trying to keep my voice from cracking.
