~~TYSON'S POV~~
"What are we going to do?" Drake asks me quietly. Everyone's taking a nap, guess too much emotion for one day.
"There's too much hidden, Drake. How can we tell them any of it?" I ask quietly.
"Ty, this is not good. She's in contact with him. We can't keep this family in the dark anymore." Drake says defensively.
"How much do we tell?" I ask hesitantly.
"All of it. We'll tell the boys tonight and Kyla when she wakes up." His mind is made. Secrets will all be revealed. I look over at Kyla. How did this happen? How could I let this happen? I've taken care of these children through everything. One day the parents were loving and caring parents, the next mom had Kyla and immediately it all changed. Dad started taking more shifts, mom put all her focus on cases. They adopted Logan, Dylan, and Michael when they were babies. It wasn't so bad having four babies at once, because the parents took care of them. Drake and I were just kids. Then Kyla was born and everything changed. Drake and I became seven year olds raising four one year olds and a baby. At the beginning the parents left us money, as the years went on we kept getting less and less money. High school was hard, taking care of them, working, managing good grades. 2 years ago, my parents moved us and the deal I made with them was a weekly check of five hundred dollars or we stay. They agreed, knowing we weren't bluffing. We've been using some of that money for a college fund for Kyla. The parents paid for both mine and Drake's college. We found out they are paying for all the boys', but refused to pay for Kyla. I'm not letting Kyla talk herself out of college, because of money. I know her and she would totally do that. Ever since that deal made with the parents, we've been perfectly fine, money-wise.
The boys walk in causing my head to snap in their direction. Drake stands up and I follow. Silently, the boys get the hint that they should sit down. I clear my throat before looking at each one of them.
"There's something we have to tell you..." I start.
~~BRYAN'S POV~~
Logan, Dylan, Michael, and I walk into Kyla's room. Tyson and Drake are in there. Tyson and Drake stand up when we walk in. We all take that as a sign to sit down so that's what we do.
"There's something we have to tell you..." Tyson starts, looking between all of us. "On February 20, 1999, we all know mom was in the hospital giving birth. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and a little boy."
I look at Tyson confused. What's he talking about?
"The parents never wanted a girl. They adopted four boys, as you know. What you don't know is that mom gave birth to three boys. Kyla has a twin brother. The day after they were born, Blake was kidnapped from the hospital. The parents were furious. They searched for Blake for a couple of weeks, but no sign of him. That was the first time we moved." Drake says. Wow.
"Something inside of mom and dad clicked. We moved the following week, four toddlers and a baby, plus two children. I have never seen mom or dad like that before. After the move, which would have been two weeks after Kyla was born, mom went back to work. Both parents put twice as many hours in a week. They were never home." Tyson explains.
"As the years went on, we figured it out. Blake's kidnapping didn't just happen. It was a setup. By the parents. Blake wasn't the one who was suppose to go." Drake says quietly. What?
"We know where and who Blake is. Kyla has met him, she just doesn't know she's his twin. We tried to keep you guys from finding out about Blake, because we figured that if they got what they wanted, our parents might try and take Kyla away, again." Tyson finishes with a sigh. Another boy? Kyla's twin? How does any of this make sense? Why do they hate Kyla so much? The wreck was an accident wasn't it?
