8AM
"So, here we have the final piece of clothing from the Winter line that is going to be released next week!" Jon announced, holding the jumper up and receiving a small applause.
As the room filled with conversation and exhilaration, Amelia sat at the back, spaced out due to the emotional weekend that she had endured.
On Friday, Jun-seo had left her standing outside in the rain for almost an hour, before she got the hint that he wasn't going to be joining her for dinner again like promised. She knew that he had his work priorities, but she couldn't help but feel annoyed that he didn't even send her a message to let her know that she would be alone for the night. He had only rang her almost three hours later, but she didn't answer the call.
The next morning, Amelia had checked her phone to see that she had received a text message from him instead."Amelia, I am sorry. Miss Bourdette kept me behind at work, she was really upset and didn't want to be left alone. I completely forgot to message you."
She'd read the message over and over, each time, having a different emotion.
The first emotion was jealousy, because she was annoyed that he didn't text her immediately, and focused on his boss instead. The second emotion was sadness, because she felt like she obviously wasn't relevant enough to be remembered, then came the confusion, because she wondered why she was so bothered by it, and finally, she felt fear, as she realised how much she liked Jun-seo.
Amelia wasn't used to feeling this way towards somebody, so, all she did was ignore his messages for the entire weekend, not knowing how else to approach the situation."Miss Hayward, what are your thoughts on the final design?" Jon's voice snapped Amelia out of her daze.
"Um, it has came out lovely. Everybody worked hard on the overall design, I'm sure it will sell out fast." Amelia said, offering a soft smile.
'Hey, I'm actually getting better at acting like I wasn't almost drooling in a daze.' She thought, as everyone around her nodded, going back to their conversations.
8PM
Amelia had been sat in her small office all day, as she worked on a party dress design to be released as a limited edition piece for New Years Eve.
Ever since the Winter designs had been completed and sent to the manufacturer, the design department had relaxed a lot, but plans for the January line were being discussed, and Amelia knew that December was sure to be even busier than the past couple of months had been."Oh, are you heading home now, Amelia?" A coworker said, as she poked her head in the door, just as Amelia was putting her coat on.
"Yes, is everything okay?" Amelia asked.
"Well, Miss Bourdette's assistant came in about half an hour ago to ask where you were. He told us not to let you know that he'd been, but I thought I'd tell you anyway."
Amelia felt her heat skip a beat.
"That's odd." Amelia lied. "Thank-you for letting me know, I'll get contact him later. I need to catch my train right now though, so I better leave."
