                                                                                ***Adam’s POV***

                “Adam, calm down. She just asked you not to swear,” Skye said, following me into my room. “You know I don’t like it when she tells me what to do!” I snapped.

                “Adam, stop it. You’re embarrassing your sister in front of her friends,” my mom said, coming into my room with Kobi. “Get out!” I hissed angrily. “I hate when you come in MY room. Get out!”

                Mom sighed and crossed her arms, giving me a sympathetic look. “Adam, I know what you’re feeling. Addison and I are feeling it too. You’re not the only one.”

                “You don’t know what I’m feeling mom! So just shut up and leave me alone!” I exploded. I didn’t even give two shits if Marco and that Zelly kid heard me. I was furious. How dare my stupid mother actually say she knows what I’m feeling? Dumb bitch.

                “Adam, you’re not the only one going through this,” she said quietly. “I wouldn’t be going through anything if it weren’t for you! I hate you! Get out of my room!” I cried angrily. “Adam, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you angry. You don’t hate me, and you know it. We can talk once you’ve calmed down,” she said. “I won’t calm down. I won’t talk to you. Leave me alone. Stop acting like you know what I’m going through!” I snapped and she sighed sadly and left my room, gently shutting my door.

                “Adam, come on! She’s trying!” Skye said with a deep frown. “Skye, you know I’m pissed at her. You heard her downstairs. She crossed the fucking line,” I growled. She sighed and wrapped her arms around me. I wrapped mine around hers and kissed her forehead, trying to get myself back under control.

                I hated showing emotion like that. It made me too vulnerable. I released Skye and bent down, picking Potent up. He let out a small bark and I took a deep breath. Shit. My mom pissed me off so much.

                Angry, I punched my desk. “Oh fuck!” I grumbled as a picture frame fell onto the floor. “Wow Adam, if you thought I was that ugly, you could’ve just never put that picture up,” Skye said jokingly, picking up the picture of us and placing it back on my desk.

                I set my dog down and moved to her. “You’re not ugly. Don’t even say that. You’re beautiful,” I said and grabbed her hand. We sat on my bed together and I pulled her into my lap.

                “Who aw dos guys down dere?” Kobi asked, sitting in my chair. I shrugged. “My Marine Bio partner and some other kid my sister’s friends with.”

                “Is that kid Asian?” Skye asked curiously. I shrugged. “How am I supposed to know? I just sit next to him in class. Look, let’s listen to music.” I turned on my iPod and we listened to JJ Demon’s “Bugs In My House”.

                Someone knocked on my door and I sighed in annoyance. “Come in,” I said, knowing that if it were my mom, she would’ve just walked in anyways. The door opened and Zelly came in to my room.

                “What do you want?” I asked in annoyance. He held up his hands innocently. “Dude, chill. Don’t shoot the messenger. Addison sent me up here to ask if any of you want food.”

                “Why the fuck does she keep sending you up? She has legs,” I grumbled. Zelly shrugged. “I don’t know. Maybe she’s just lazy. Either way, she was just wondering if you want food.”

                “What kind of food?” Skye asked curiously. Zelly shrugged again. “She made tacos and salad.” Skye turned to me with a smile. “Come on, you. Let’s go eat.” I sighed in annoyance. “Fine. Go tell her yea,” I said coldly.

                Skye rolled her eyes at me. “Tell her we said we’d like food, please,” she corrected and flicked me on the nose. “Rude boy, Adam Ace. What’s your name again?” “Zelly,” he responded and she nodded. “Nice to meet you Zelly! I’m Skye.”

                “Yea, hi,” he said and his mouth twitched into something that I think was supposed to be a smile. He turned and left my room and Skye turned to me. “Aw, he was kind of cute!” I rolled my eyes and got up with her in my arms bridal style.

                “Come on Kobi. Let’s go get food,” I said quietly and we went downstairs. “Here Skye; I made salad because I know you’re vegetarian!” Addison said brightly. “Aw, thanks Addi!” Skye said with a smile. I kissed her cheek and sat down with her.

                “So Adam, did you do your homework? Remember, Zelly’s watching you,” Addison said with wink. “No, I didn’t. And I’m not going to. I don’t care who’s watching me,” I said and bit into a taco.

                “Damn chink, he told you,” Marco said and Zelly punched him in the shoulder. I glanced at Zelly and studied him a bit more carefully. He did look Asian if you took a real close look at him.

                “Girls don’t fall for the violent chinks!” Marco said and swatted Zelly’s hand away. “Clapper, I’m gay. Why would I give two shits who girls fall for?” Zelly asked in annoyance. Well, talk about being blunt.

                “Yea, yea, yea. Not that anyone would love you anyways,” Marco said with a smirk. Zelly raised an eyebrow and clapped his hands together. Marco’s face transformed into a deep pout. “Fuck you!” he grumbled as Addison giggled.

                “Aw you as come-fused as I am?” Kobi asked me and I nodded. Addison giggled more. “Marco had-” He slapped his hand over her mouth. “Marco had nothing. Not a thing. Nope. Shut up now Addison,” he said in annoyance.

                “He had gonorrhea,” Zelly said with a smirk. Marco winced. “Oh, go back to China you asshole,” he whined. 

                “Hey, shut the fuck up with the racist shit,” I said coldly. Marco glanced at me. “I’m just messing around with him. He knows it,” he said defensively. “I don’t care. Cut it out,” I said, meeting his eyes steadily. “Or what?” he challenged. “I’ll kick your ass,” I said simply. “Try it. You think you’re so tough,” he growled.

                I went to get up, but Skye glared at me. “Adam, stop it! You’re being really mean! Just calm down,” she said and kissed my cheek gently. “Clap, calm the fuck down,” Zelly said, shaking his head.

                Marco glanced at me and shrugged. “Eh, whatever dude. Sorry. I’ll stop being racist or whatever. I don’t want to fight. Too much work.” I ignored him and gave a very small smile towards Skye. I looked up, and watched as Zelly blushed a little and quickly looked away. Huh.
