" Hold your b r e a t h

"Ward 138." Clarke read aloud when they arrived in front of a new corridor, where a panel hung right above the entrance. She tilted her head before glancing at Finn who stood next to her, his arms crossed and eyes staring to the panel.
"Looks like we're here." He muttered, swallowing thickly. They didn't know when a mutated dog would have stepped in their way, and tore them apart. He was terrified and thought about getting the hell out of there, but he couldn't do that until they would find the antidote. Monty was worth it, he repeated in his mind over and over again.
Clarke stared in front of them, where a long and dark path was offered to them. At the end of it, two large metal doors were partly opened, but what was behind them seemed to be much more darker than the corridor itself. Two doors were also built on each walls of the corridor, one across the other, and each one of them were labeled with names, probably indicating whose office it was. "So... What about I take the door on the left, and you take the other one?" She asked, glancing back at him. It was needless to say that he was already staring at her. "We already know the door at the end of the corridor leads to the cages where the experiments are, so I say we only go there if we find nothing here."
"I don't think we should part, Clarke..." Finn replied, fearing the worst.
"Finn, we have weapons, and it'll be faster if we do it that way." She told him, convinced that everything would have been be alright. At least, that's what she was trying to convince herself of.
He stared at her some more, considering what she had just said. He didn't want anything bad to happen to her, and he really wasn't convinced that them parting would've been a good idea. Anything could happen while he would be in another room, plus she had one arm in a sling. But time was not something they were filled with, and he was aware every seconds were counted. "Promise me you'll call my name if you find or need anything, alright?" He decided to say.
Clarke nodded as she watched him for a few more seconds, almost as if it would've been the last time for a while she would get to see him. She smiled softly before heading to the left door, and turned the doorknob to open it.
Finn watched her until she would disappear through the door, hoping the he made the right decision by letting her go alone. After that, he turned around to discover his own door, and opened the door to enter it.

Clarke wandered around the room and pointed the flashlight she held with her weakest arm on the multiple papers covering the desk she was looking at. She doubted the antidote would've been hidden there, but she had nothing to lose.
Then, her eyes landed on an envelope, on which was printed with large bold letters "CONFIDENTIAL". Curious, she placed her gun down on the desk and picked up the envelope, turning it on the other side in hope of discovering something else. When she opened the envelope to discover its content, she pulled out two folded sheets of paper, on which she figured were printed more confidential elements. She had always been a very curious person, and she didn't know if anyone would ever come back her for a while. As soon as she unfolded the first paper, her eyes glued on the first sentence. It was all about scientific terms and things she had no idea really what was all about, so instead of putting it anymore thoughts, she carefully folded the paper back into the envelope and picked up her gun.
She stepped further into the room, letting her eyes scan every single things. It must've been more than ten minutes Finn and her parted, and she was beginning to feel quite uncomfortable about this. What if something had happened to him? What if one of those dogs took him by surprise and killed him before he could've even called her name? Or worst, what if something had happened and he chose not to advise her in order to keep her safe?
