Clarke stared back at him, her heart beating fast. She opened her mouth, as if about to say something. But then, Murphy got out of the car as well and included himself into the discussion.
"So, what's the problem?" He asked, spitting on the ground.
She eventually drifted her eyes away from Finn's, and looked to the other boy. "One of the tires broke..." she told him, swallowing hard.
Murphy glanced down, crossing his arms and furrowing his brows as he heard the quite shocking new, as he knew very well what this meant. "I don't... I don't have a spare tire."
"We know that..." the blonde replied, allowing her eyes to glance back at Finn, whose head was down.
"We could... look around here in hope of finding one..." Finn said as he forced himself to look up at Clarke, answering her question from earlier before Murphy joined them.
The other boy scoffed. "Oh yeah? And where do you think we're going to find a tire that'll fit my car?" He asked, noticing how Finn was now looking around them. "Probably not here, right?"
"What about over there?" Finn suggested, pointing over to the old barn across the road.
"Hah, I ain't stepping into that creepy thing." Murphy replied, scoffing again.
Then, Wells and Monty walked out of the car as well, adding themselves into the conversation. "What's happening?" The dark skinned boy asked.
"One of the tires is deflated, and Finn suggested we look over there to find another one, as Murphy doesn't have any in spare." Clarke explained while pointing over to the barn, gazing at the newcomers.
"Sounds like a good idea," Monty said.
"But what if we find nothing? What will we do?" Wells asked as obvious worries grew in his eyes.
"We keep looking, that's really the only option we have." The blonde continued, letting her eyes hover on all of their faces.
"Like I said, I'm not going in there." Murphy announced the group as he leaned himself against his own car, his arms crossed.
And this time, Clarke decided to ignore that.

After arguing like that for a few more minutes, they all — except Murphy — came to the conclusion that they should be looking around for anything that could've been useful to them. Without a new tire, there was no way for them to possibly keep going, and they were all aware of that.
While Murphy "guarded" the car, Clarke, Monty, Wells and Finn traversed the street and walked up to the old shattered barn. It was obvious it had been abandoned years ago, but it somehow seemed to contain a lot of different equipment, whether they were useful or not.
Other than that, everything around them seemed dead, and so empty. Empty of life. And it was not welcoming at all. The sun seemed to hide behind a blanket of thick grey clouds, while the air was humid and somewhat heavy, as if it had been mingled with some sort of smoke; it almost smelt like death.
Clarke was the first to step into the barn. The door was pushed wide open, and the windows were shattered, just as if something or someone had been locked in and tried to escape. A carpet of straw covered most of the cement floor, along with different farmer's tools. Then, she observed the few stalls built one next to the other, and how the metal the locks were made of was covered of rust. That's when something caught her attention: a crumbled sheet of paper laying on the floor next to an old wooden chair. Curious, she picked it up and carefully unfolded it, only to discover a drawing that had obviously been made by a child. She tilted the paper a little and tried to understand what the drawing represented, until she felt a presence next to her.
