ANDI'S POV

My demon side was getting harder to control. Probably because of my visit to the Nether.

It was also throwing off my senses.

I sighed. "How much further?" I complained.

Donna rolled her eyes. "Oh, your fine! Only a block more."

I sighed and ran ahead.

In all the time I've lived in PhoenixDrop, I've only met Lucinda a handful of times.

I raced into her house, not bothering to knock. "Lucinda!" I yelled.

No answer.

I sighed and went up the spiraling staircase. "Lucinda!" I yelled again.

Still no answer.

"Lucinda! Get your butt down here right now or I'm going all demon on you!" I yelled, feeling my anger rise.

"Geez, no need to be so loud." Lucinda rolled her eyes, shifting out of the shadows.

I wanted to yell at her more but we didn't have time. "We need some kind of herb that reduces the speed of poison in the blood."

Lucinda thought for a moment. "Hmm... You're talking about Green Garbin." She stated.

"So, do you have any?!" I said impatiently.

Lucinda gave me a sly smile. "Yep. Let me go get it. Lemme guess." She turned and started walking towards her shelves of herbs and spices. "You guys went to the Nether, and someone from your group got hit by a death sword."

My jaw dropped. "How'd you know?"

Lucinda sighed. "My cousin made that sword. It's wielder was umm... Carl, right?"

"Yes, now do you have the herb?" I said coldly.

Lucinda rolled her eyes. She turned around with an empty glass container. She looked at it with a frown.

"Guess I'm out. Hmm. Oops." She gave me a sly smile.

"Lucinda..." I growled.

A hand rested on my shoulder. "Andi, it's all right. It would take truck loads of it to slow the poison down, only for a week. And Aaron would be in pain the entire time..." Donna said softly.

Lucinda frowned. "Aw. I kinda liked Aaron. Hmm. Fine. There is one way you can save him."

I glared at her. "Well tell us!" I snapped at her.

Lucinda closed her eyes and clicked her tongue. "Dear Andi, you want this so bad, so I'd be nice if I were you." She smirked, looking at me.

I growled at her before swallowing my pride. "Lucinda. Please tell me the cure for the poison." I mumbled.

She gave me a sly smile. "You're lucky I'm feeling generous today."

I bit my tongue, trying to keep my comments to myself.

"You'll have to go see my cousin. He's not a wizard, well, not exactly. He's a mix betwee-"

"Lucinda!"

"Sorry! Anyway, here's his address. He lives in Metalli."

She held out a slip of paper with words written out on it.

I sighed. "Alright." I reached for the paper and Lucinda pulled it back before my fingers could clasp around it.

Lucinda smirked. "What do you say?"

She was pushing her luck.

"Give me the stupid piece of paper before I slice your head off." I said coldly.

"Geez! A simple thank you would have worked." She handed me the paper.

I read over the paper.

I rushed downstairs, Donna following after me.

I think I heard Lucinda say something like, 'You're just as aggressive as (Y/n) is.'

I ran outside and to Aphmau's house. By the time I reached her house, I was sweating hard from all the running I had been doing.

I rushed inside and upstairs, ignoring the surprised look that Zoey had when I burst into their house. I rushed into Aphmau's room.

"Andi! Did you get it?" Garroth said urgently.

I shook my head.

"What?! I thought Lucinda had some!"

"She was out." I stated simply, catching my breath.

An uneasy silence crossed the room.

That's when I noticed Aphmau working on slowing the poison with her magik.

I sighed. "But there is a cure."

Aphmau perked up at this. "What?"

"A cure. Lucinda's cousin made the sword that Aaron was hit with. He should be able to reverse the poison."

Aphmau smiled happily before a thought crossed her mind. "What if he doesn't want to help? Where does he live? What if Aaron dies before you can get it? What if-" Tears were welling up in her eyes.

Garroth cut her off. "Andi will get it. Trust me. She's just as worried as you." He said in a calm voice.

I nodded. "Alright. I'll go get it. I'll leave right away."
