ZOEY'S POV

Where on earth is Garroth??? He got off patrol hours ago.

I sighed. He probably fell asleep at the hospital again.

"Finn! Lia!" I shouted. "Stay with Aphmau. I'm going to go check on your Father."

I heard a series of 'yes' and 'okay' 's from them.

I sighed before pulling on a coat and walking outside. I walked down the hill from Lady Aphmau's house.

I walked over to Kiki's and borrowed a horse from her. "Garroth didn't come home again. He probably fell asleep at the hospital again." I had told her.

She had nodded in understanding and let me barrow one of her horses.

I got onto the horse before starting off towards the PhoenixDrop gates.

~timeskip~

I paid a man to take my horse to the stables. I walked to the hospital.

I looked over the vast walls of the hospital before entering.

I walked to the front desk.

The secretary recognized me. "Garroth not coming home again?" She sighed.

I nodded and didn't bother checking in, sense the secretary knew I was just here to get Garroth and leave.

I walked over to the stairs and started up them. (Y/n) was on the 3rd floor in room 342.

When I reached the third floor, I headed down the hallway towards (Y/n)'s room.

I found it after a couple minutes and knocked softly on the door.

I opened the door and walked in.

Garroth was asleep on the couch next to (Y/n)'s bed and (Y/n) hadn't moved much from the last time I saw her.

But that was progress I guess.

I sighed before walking over to Garroth. I gently shook his shoulder. "Garroth."

Nothing.

"Garroth." I said louder.

He groggily opened an eye. "Hmm?"

When he saw it was me,he sighed. "I forgot to pick up the kids?"

"You forgot to pick up the kids." I confirmed for him.

He sighed. "Sorry." He looked over at (Y/n). "Guess it was all a dream." He murmured softly.

"What?"

"I thought that (Y/n) had woken up." He said softly. "Maybe it was all a dream."

I bit my lip. "I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but Garroth, it's been seven months. At least. Maybe you should try to move on with the kids?"

Garroth looked bewildered. "Zoey! How could you- I can't- I couldn't ever-"

I sighed. "I know, but just think about it. She almost used her entire life source in order to keep that portal open. Although, I think it's possible that someone else helped her other than Laurence. I found traces of-"

Garroth stared at me blankly.

"Sorry." I rambled.

Garroth sighed and rubbed his temples. "It's fine. Sorry for not picking up the kids again."

"It's okay." I said softly. "I know how much you miss her." I looked at (Y/n) who was peacefully sleeping.

Garroth gave a sad smile. "Yeah. I'm even dreaming about her waking up." He sighed. "I'm going insane." He laughed softly.

Suddenly, (Y/n) stirred. She opened an eye and when she saw me and Garroth, she opened them both. She groggily sat up. "Garroth?"
