SERINA'S POV

I watched as Vylad worked with Travis.

"You like him, don't you." Andi stated as she walked over. It wasn't a question.

I blushed. "W-what gave you that idea?"

Andi smiled. "Well, the fact that you're blushing and you were watching his every move."

I raised an eyebrow. "If you noticed that, you were watching my every move."

Andi smiled. "Point taken." She sat down next to me on the bench.

I sighed. That Travis guy was cute to, but I didn't know him and Vylad is, pretty much, my savior.

He's the one who helped me in the nether when they were beating me for pointing out a flaw in their plan. He's the one who helped me escape. He's the one who helped me know what love is.

I sighed. "It's complicated."

Andi laughed softly. "Meaning you do like him, but you don't know how he feels about you."

I glared at her playfully.

"Well you know I was at that point at some time." She said with a soft smile.

I nodded. "Your husband... Laurence... by any chance is he..." I trailed off.

She nodded. "A shadow-knight? Yeah. He is."

I nodded and looked over at the boys. "I've heard about him. He's actually kind of famous in the Nether. Though I don't know if that's good or not."

Andi smiled softly and looked over at me. "Yeah?"

I smiled. "It's not exactly the best position to be in when the shadow-knights are so powerful. Although I've heard he's quite the shadow-knight."

Andi laughed lightly. "No match for me though." She joked.

I laughed lightly. "Have you ever been to the Demon Realm?"

Andi shook her head. "Nope." she said, popping the 'p'. "I don't want to though. To be honest, I wish my demon side would just go away."

I smiled softly. "I have a feeling it doesn't work that way."

Andi sighed. "I wish it would though." She looked around at the room we were in. "This is a nice place." She said, changing the subject.

I sighed. Just when I was about to get something out of her about her demon side. "Yeah, I guess."

Andi looked at the fireplace across the room that had a small fire going in it. "I've always been afraid of fire. I don't really remember why. When you look at it, it's like anger fueled it. But at the same time, there's a grace and beauty to it."

I looked over to the fire. "Yeah. It is really pretty at times, but it can be so destructive at other times."

She nodded. "Maybe I'll ask Travis about it."

"Ask me about what?"

Andi and I looked up to find Travis and Vylad looking at us.

Andi shook her head. "Nothing."

I rolled my eyes. "Was there a fire in your past at all?"

Travis frowned. "W-what?"

I sighed. "Fire? You know, like the thing that burns other things?"

Travis bit his lip. "Ummm... why?"

I glared at him. "Answer the question."

Vylad laughed lightly, shaking his head. "Serina..."

I smiled. "What? I just wanna know!"

Vylad laughed while Andi and Travis stayed quiet.

I looked at Travis. "Well?"

Travis nodded softly. "That's how we lost Andi." He said softly. "There was a fire and somehow Andi got separated from the rest of our family."

I nodded and turned to Andi. "There's your answer."

Andi sighed. "You are so freaking pushy." She teased with a small smile.

Vylad laughed. "You think she's pushy now? Wait till we go to a dessert buffet."

I pouted. "Hey! No I'm not!"

Andi laughed. "Whatever you say Serina."

I rolled my eyes. "Anyway, why are you two over here? Shouldn't you be working on the antidote?"

Travis smiled. "It just needs to sit for a few hours. Don't even go near it though. If you so much as bump it, it'll explode and my house with it. Then I have to add a couple more ingredients and let it sit again."

I smiled. "Alright."

Andi sighed. "All that's left to do is wait."
