ANDI'S POV

I mounted my horse, Lexi, and held a small pack on my back along with my sword in its sheath.

Lucinda looked down at her wrist. "It's 9 at night."

I raised an eyebrow. "Your not even wearing a watch." I pointed out.

Lucinda smirked. "Magik my dear."

I rolled my eyes. "How much time do we have before..."

I didn't have to finish that sentence in order for Lucinda to get what I meant.

"You have 36 hours before the poison takes full effect and Aaron..." She trailed of. "Is gone."

I nodded. "Alright. And your sure your cousin has the cure?"

Lucinda nodded. "He's pretty good at cures. I'm positive he'll have it. Now stop wasting time and get going. Do you want your brother to die?!"

I glared at her before nicking to my horse.

We started at a walk, but soon, we were galloping through the woods on our way to Metalli.

??? POV

I looked over at Vylad. "I'm going to follow her. You coming with?"

He bit his lip. "Sure. I have a few horses in a makeshift stable not far from here. I know I'm not a demon, but I definitely want to keep Andi in check if needed."

I nodded before heading down the tree we were perched in.

~soon~

I and Vylad had caught up with Andi. She was just entering the Metalli gates.

"Let's wait a couple minutes before we go in. Just to be cautious."

I nodded. "But she knows you. Just tell her that the orange haired girl sent you after her."

Vylad thought for a moment. "Alright. She's never met you though, right?"

I nodded. "Yep, and for now, that's a good thing."

He nodded. "Alright. Let's go."

I nodded, following him.

Vylad was like my mentor, my teacher. He's the only shadow knight I know that is... Well, not evil. Besides Laurence at least.

We had grown really close in the Nether and when they released me from training, I didn't want to leave him.

He's the only one that understands what I'm going through. He's my friend. Maybe more.

I shook those thoughts out of my head.

I can't think about that right now. We need to follow Andi.

Andi looked up and down from a piece of paper, asking the few people that were out, if they knew where it was.

After a few minutes, Vylad and I approached her.

Andi looked up from her sheet. "Vylad! Where were you earlier! We were worried!"

Vylad laughed softly. "Sorry for running off like that. I had important matters to tend to." He glanced at me.

I blushed softly.

He smiled softly.

Andi nodded. "Alright." She thought for a moment. "Why am I being nice to you?! Your the reason we're in this position!" She said angrily.

Vylad smiled apologetically. "That's why I'm here. I felt bad so I came to help in any way possible."

Andi huffed. "Fine. Do you know where this is?"

Vylad looked at the sheet. "No, but maybe we should ask the boy that's gaping like a goldfish at you."

We all turned and looked at a boy with white hair. He looked a little older than me. He was gaping at us, but I think more specifically, Andi.

Andi walked over and Vylad and I followed after her.

"Hi!" She greeted.

The boy snapped out of it. "Andi?"

Andi stopped in her tracks. "Umm yeah. How'd you know?"

"I umm... I-" He babbled.

"Spit it out!" She said impatiently.

"I'm your brother!" He stuttered out.

"Huh?" Andi looked confused.

"Your adopted into your family, right?"

Andi slowly nodded. "Yeah..." She said slowly.

The man smiled. "Well I'm your biological brother. Twin, brother, actually."

Andi raised an eyebrow. "Twin?"

"I know it sounds far fetched..." The man faltered. "I knew it was you when I saw you. I have this ummm.... Demon side." He said. His faced showed hate.

Andi's eyes widened. "You have that to?"

The mans eyes widened. "You have a demon side?!"

Andi smiled. "Yeah! That's why Vylad's here. To keep me in check."

Vylad looked bewildered. "No! I'm here because..."

Andi looked at him, one eyebrow raised.

"Because-"

"Face it, Vylad. Your a horrible actor." Andi said plainly.

Vylad turned to me for help but I just shrugged.

"She's right."

Vylad pouted. "Fine."

We both laughed.

"Ah! You probably don't remember my name if you don't remember me. I'm Travis."

Andi nodded. "Nice to meet you Travis." She smiled.

Travis smiled back.

"Oh! Wait! Do you know where this is?" Andi handed him the sheet of paper with the address on it. "We're actually on a mission to save my... Other, brother."

Travis looked confused at first before he nodded. "This is Lucinda's hand writing. She sent you?"

"Umm, yeah. How'd you know?" Andi asked.

Travis grinned. "Cousin."

"Wait..." Andi backed up from Travis. "You're the one who made that sword?!"

Travis frowned. "Which one? I've made plenty of swords."

"A death sword." Andi said coldly, her words laced with venom.

Travis bit his lip. "Actually it was my father- I mean, our father. He's... Umm... How do I say this lightly... The pure essence of evil."

Andi sighed. "I'm assuming he's a demon?"

Travis nodded. "He was a demon. Our mom trapped him on an island, but it costed her life." He said sadly.

Andi nodded softly with a small smile. "I guess some family is better than none."

Travis grinned. "Anyway, ever sense mom... Disappeared, I've been working on a cure for every single poison he created."

"I can see why your Lucinda's cousin. She said you were a wizard of some sort." Vylad looked at Travis.

"It's not a wizard! It's a warlock! I've been trying to get that witch to understand that for the last 17 years!" Travis huffed. "Anyway, we should go to my place. We can grab the cure you need then!"

"Let's go."
