ANDI'S POV

The next few hours were frantic.

I rushed into Phoenix Drop, my heart racing.

Was I there on time? Did I make it?

I steered my horse towards Aphmau's house, where Aaron was the last time I saw him. I pulled my horse to a stop and slid off it's back.

My horse panted, it needing water desperately and I knew that, but I had to get inside. I had to save Aaron.

I gave her a small pat on the neck, promising I'd be back to give her food and water, before rushing inside.

I burst through the doors and Zoey was in the kitchen with the twins. "Andi! You're back! Did you get the antidote? No time for questions! Aaron's upstairs!" She said all in one breath.

I laughed lightly. "Missed you to, Zoey." I ran upstairs, my heart pounding as I ran into Aphmau's room.

Aphmau was asleep, half on the bed, half not.

I walked over quietly, wondering if they had moved Aaron.

Aaron slept on the bed as well, but he didn't look so well.

His skin was pale, paler then mine and Travis'. His lips weren't their full color, more of a dull, musty red. Sweat dotted his forehead, his black hair plastered onto it. His breathing was irregular, sometimes a long breath, sometimes a short one.

His shirt stuck to his chest, sweat soaking parts of it.

I bit my lip lightly. "Aaron... if you can hear me, it's Andi... I have the medicine and I'm gonna try to get it in quickly." I said softly.

Aphmau stirred, lightly lifting her head. "Andi?" she mumbled sleepily.

I smiled softly. "Hey Aph... I have the medicine... it should work..."

Aphmau smiled softly. "Well give it to him!"

I laughed softly, a hint of pain hidden in it. I opened up the bag that Travis had given me and I pulled out the serum. It was in a glass beaker with a cork top on it. I pulled off the top and a loud popping sound filled the room.

Aaron's face contorted at the sound.

I lightly put my hand on his shoulder.

He slowly calmed down, his face returning to normal.

I pulled him up lightly. "Aph... extra pillows..."

She rushed to the boys' rooms, grabbing their pillows and running back in.

We put them behind his back, sitting him up slightly.

I lightly opened his mouth, ready to pour the serum down his throat.

The purple serum bubbled, a few bubbles forming at the top.

I bit my lip lightly before leaning the glass tube forward, tipping the liquid into his mouth. I did a little bit at a time, not wanting him to choke.

After the serum was gone, I put the tube back in the bag,  closing the bag.

I bit my lip softly. "I hope this works..."
