Chapter 34

FINN'S POV

I sat on Mommy's lap, listening to them talking. 

Lia was telling Daddy about the cake she had made him and Daddy was laughing.

I hadn't seen Daddy laugh in a long time. But he was laughing now.

Lia was grinning as she talked with Daddy.

I smiled. I was happy that she was happy. Her and Daddy and Mommy were all happy.

I grinned. They were happy, I'm happy.

I looked at Mommy.

She was hooked up to lots of beeping machines, wires everywhere. 

I didn't know what they did but they looked important.

Uncle Aaron and Auntie Aphmau talked with Auntie Zoey.

I sighed. I was done. I didn't want Mommy to be in the hospital any more. I wanted Mommy to come home and play with me and Lia!

Soon, there was a pretty lady that walked in. She was wearing a white coat and was carrying a clipboard. The clipboard had lots of papers on it. She was writing on all the papers.

Mommy looked over at her and so did Daddy.

Everyone stopped talking as they waited for her to say something.

She cleared her throat before looking at Mommy. "(Y/N)..." she started.

Her voice was quiet but calm. It had a soothing feel.

"So, I've checked over your vitals and they seem to have returned to normal. However, we want to keep you here a few more days, just to make sure you'll stay in that state. But..." she paused. "If your health status doesn't change, then we will be able to release you to the care of your family members within the next few days."

I grinned. "Mommy can come home?"

Lia giggled, smiling as well.

Daddy looked at us. "Yup! In a couple days." He cast a glance over at Auntie Aphmau and Uncle Aaron and they nodded softly. 

Auntie Aphmau turned to me and Lia. "Come on... we should head home. We don't want to go home in the dark, now do we."

Uncle Aaron chuckled softly, finally letting go of Auntie's hand.

Auntie Aphmau walked over to Lia and picked her up off of Daddy's lap.

Lia frowned and looked at Daddy. "Come on Daddy! Let's go home!" She giggled.

Mommy shifted uncomfortably and I moved off her lap just so I was sitting next to her in the bed.

Mommy smiled softly at Lia and me. "Come on... go home with Aaron and Aphmau. I and Daddy will be home soon."

Lia pouted. "I wanna stay..."

"Me to!" I piped.

Daddy chuckled. "No... you two go home and we'll be home before you know it."

Lia giggled. "Alright Daddy..."

Mommy smiled. "Love you two..." She kissed my forehead and I giggled, grinning.

Auntie Aphmau brought Lia over and Mommy gave Lia a kiss on her forehead to.

Lia giggled and hugged Mommy. I hugged her to.

Mommy giggled, hugging us back. She had tears in her eyes. She wiped at them, trying to hide them.

I giggled. "Don't cry Mommy! We'll see you in a few days!"

She giggled, smiling. "Alright... I love you." she said softly, giving me one last hug before Uncle Aaron came over and put me up on his shoulders. "Alright bud, time to go!" He chuckled.

I screeched, laughing as I held onto him. I took one last look at Mommy. "Bye Mommy..."

YOUR POV

I watched as Finn, Lia, Aphmau and Aaron left the room. It was finally quiet. Zoey walked over, putting a hand on my arm softly. 

"(Y/N)..." She said softly. "I'm pretty sure I know what happened."
