Spock

"Spock!!" you call out. Being back on earth has its perks, but insects are not one of them.

Spock enters the room and tilts his head at you, waiting for some sort of justicication as to why you're standing on the bathtub.

"There's a spider," you say, pointing to the wall.

There's a particulary large spider on the wall and Spock turns his head to see it better.

"Can you kill it?"

"Killing it is illogical."

You pout at him. You'd assumed he'd be used to illogical humans by now, but his responses are still the same as when you first met him.

"Can you take it outside then?"

"I could."

"Will you take it outside then?"

Spock looks at the spider again but says nothing.

"No? Please Spock, I don't want to touch it." He continues to say nothing and it makes you frown a little. "Spock? Everything alright? Don't they have spiders on Vulcan?"

"There aren't any spider like creatures on Vulcan. I find all of their legs... Unnerving."

"So you're scared of it? Isn't that illogical?"

Spock swallows and takes a step away from the bathroom. "Fear of something that cannot inflict harm is illogical, yes. However, I still find myself unwilling to go near the creature. If you'll excuse me a moment."

The Vulcan leaves the room and you open your mouth a little, partially in shock but also in amusement. You follow him out of the room, closing the door to the spider ridden bathroom on your way.

"Spock," you mutter, stopping in front of him. "It's okay if you're scared."

"I am not scared, I am simply-"

You silence him by pressing your lips to his. He cocks his head to the side and you smile at him. "We can ask Jim or someone to come get it. I'm sure they won't mind."

"That is not necessary," Spocks says gently. Spock doesn't smile with his lips, he never really does, but the way he smiles with his eyes is so much nicer.

"Spock, you don't have to go facing your fears and-"

The Vulcan cuts you off with a kiss and it makes you grin as he pulls away.

"That was prety cute," you admit, grinning at him.

"I have never been reffered to as cute before."

You roll your eyes, there's a first time for everything.

Half and hour later Jim comes inside with a now empty teacup and a wicked grin on his face.

"You two are such a weird couple. Who would have thought Spock would be scared of spiders?"

"He's not scared of them," you smirk, "He's unnerved by them."

Jim rolls his eyes and slaps Spock on the back as he walks out. As irksome as Jim can be, he's already a really great guy.

"Happy now?" You ask, grinning at Spock.

He raises an eyebrow in response and you smile wrapping your arms around him.

"I would like to apologise for being unable to remove the spider; causing a fuss, in vernacular. I am aware that it is illogical to-"

"Spock," you interrupt. "There's nothing wrong with doing something illogical. You're dating me remember? That's probably pretty illogical."

"How so?" He presses.

"Well you're probably better suited to a Vulcan girl... I mean it's probably not easily to deal with someone as emotional as I am."

"Vulcan girls are less emotional, yes. However they are not as loving, or caring, or kindhearted. I dated you because I love you..."

With that, you grin and wrap your arms around him, smiling as he hugs you back, holding you tightly into chest.

"See, it's good doing something illogical."

"Are you saying...?" Spock is unsure of how to finish the sentence. You wink at him in response and pull your lips to his, enjoying the sweet taste. It took a little practise but Spock is a good kisser. You move your hands to the back of his neck and he turns his head a little, deepening the kiss. He pulls you onto the lounge and you smile, straddling his lap and messing up his hair.

"Is making out illogical?" You suddenly ask, looking at him curiously.

"No," he mutters. "I see many benefits."

"But germs and stuff?"

He stops in thought. "Despite being somewhat unsanitary, I find it quite.... Pleasurable."

"Good," you mutter, kissing him again.
