She knew you liked him, and so did just about everyone on the ship, except for the person in question if course. Pavel Chekov was your best friend but couldn't take the hint that you liked him more than just a friend, and Nyota Uhura would not shut up about it. You had just finished the alpha shift and were sitting a table alone, eating and catching up on a few reports. She was sitting across the room, giving you looks and winking at you. She was making kissing faces, as is you were back to middle school. You smirked and rolled your eyes. You were in the middle of the sentence, when you heard a tray table move down in front of you. "Hey," you greeted Pavel as casually as you could manage, blocking Uhura's view completely. He smiled, "some crazy rumours are going she ship," he said sticking a fork into his meal. "Oh really?" You asked, pretending not to know anything. "Apparently Jim got someone pregnant," he smirked. You groaned internally, as adorable as he was, he was quite oblivious. "I'm not surprised," you muttered. He kept eating and you thought to yourself. "Chekov can I just tell you something?" You asked nervously. He smiled and nodded, "sure what iz it?" You took a deep breath and looked into his eyes. "I like you Pavel, more than as a friend." He opened his mouth to and then closed it, looking at the floor. "I uh..." He muttered, turning red. You panicked and stood up, quickly leaving the room. "Why was I so stupid?" You asked yourself, wiping a frustrated tear from your eye. You kept walking, looking down at the floor. You ran straight into something, or really someone. You looked up, it was Pavel best friend Hikaru that you'd ran into. "Sorry Hikaru I wasn't looking..." You muttered, rubbing your head. "Oh, have you seen Pavel? He was looking for you, he said he had something to ask you," he said, getting up. "Really?" You asked, taking his hand and standing up. He nodded, "Speak of the devil..." You turned around to see Pavel walking briskly towards you. You looked at the floor shyly and pulled you hair behind your ear. He walked up to you, and took one of your hands shyly. "I-I like you too..." He muttered. Hikaru put his hands up innocently and smiled, "Um I'll leave you guys alone then...." Pavel half smiled, "Sorry I panicked, I didn't know what to say... I like you and I wanna be more zhan friends if you do too..." You giggled and looked up at him shyly. "You mean like, be your girlfriend?" You asked. He nodded, "If that's vhat you vant..." You nodded and giggled "Wanna go back to lunch?" He smiled, taking one of your hands and blushing slightly. He swung your hand as you walked, and asked you about your shift. As soon you entered the lunch room, Nyota raised an eyebrow and called out, "I knew it, took long enough!" You rolled your eyes and sat down next to him. "So where were we?" You asked, smiling. "Umm Jim getting someone pregnant?" He chuckled.

I can't even begin to apologise for how long this took
I was writing stuff but it was seriously just pathetic
I have like 5 unpublished chapters
