James Kirk was a man of many strange and wonderful talents, one of them being close up magic. You, particularly loving anything magical, always, always got super excited whenever he did any sort of magic trick. Bones insisted that Jim was trying to impress you, because 'he had a thing for you' but Jim seemed to 'have a thing' for a lot of girls on the ship. Jim was using his magic on Bones, to his annoyance. He got Bones to hold a piece of paper (that bones had written 'dammit Jim' on it rather than his name) and keep it on his hand while Jim did a few other things. "Bones open the paper you wrote on," he asked, grinning towards you and a few other crew members. Bones opened the paper and held up the same piece of paper on it but with "Believe in magic you muggle," written clearly in Jim's handwriting. Everyone clapped and Jim took a low bow.

"For my last trick," he continued, "I would like a volunteer from the audience. He grinned and took your hand, bringing you into the small centre of the people gathered. He pulled out a deck of cards and offered them to you. You picked one, the nine of spades and watched him shuffle the rest of the cards. He held out the deck again and you took another card. This one was the aces of hearts, with "be my girlfriend?" written on it. He continued his trick and took your original nine of spades off you (showing the audience) and shuffled the deck again. He then grinned and asked Bones to empty his pockets. Bones grumbled and stood up, pulling out some keys, a phone, and then your original card. Everyone clapped and he took a bow. "That's all folks!" He grinned and walked over to you as everyone walked off. He placed the nine of spades on his palm, cupped the other hand over it and then opened his hands to show a beautiful blue flower. He passes it to you, smiling shyly and laughing. You smiled softly and took the soft flower from him. "You're amazing," you giggled placing the flower in your hair. "I try," he shrugged smiling. You giggled and looked at the other card he had passed you earlier. "Was I meant to pick this card?" You asked, passing it to him. "You could have picked any of the 51 cards, you just so happened to pick that one, maybe it was luck, maybe it was fate," he grinned. You smiled, "Do you mean it?" He nodded shyly and gave you back the card. "I'd love to," you muttered.

You walked out of the hall with Jim's hand intertwined with yours, causing Bones to raise and eyebrow, and mutter "wait how...?" Jim slapped him on the back and said, "A magician never reveals his tricks."
