-Chester-
We were sitting at the edge of her bed. Naomi was holding a bottle of brandy, while I nibbled the chips I stole from her refrigerator. Though I was upset with this girl, I couldn’t help but catch her every time she falls. Maybe because she was very dear to me, but saying that I should get lost was another story. It really hurt me, but what choice do I have? She openly talked everything about her to me.
“I know I was really dumb to reincarnate those childish feelings I had for him. I was totally wrong. He’s so worthless. He cheated on me!” she whined and drank a large amountof the liquor.
“I told you right? I told you, I told you.” I repeated, almost singing the words out of my mouth.
“And I’m sorry if I pushed you away.” she said. Her voice almost faded into the thin air. She leaned her head on my shoulder and drank another round of brandy. She was finishing one-fourth of the bottle, and she had never been so alcoholic before.
“My god, how many times do you have to say that?” I answered. It was her twentieth time of saying sorry to me. It started to get on my nerves.
“I’m sorry.”
Again.
“What are you going to do now?” I asked. She looked at me, quite tipsy from the brandy that she’d been drinking right from the very first hour that we started talking. She was the kind of person who couldn’t stand too much alcohol in her body. Her eyes were now red and puffy, and she was starting to slur her speech.
“I’ll kill both of them. I’ll chop off Liam’s head.”
I laughed. She was out of her mind. She was dead angry at Liam. She drank again, and this time, I snatched the bottle from her.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
“Enough, Naomi.Enough. You’ve drank too much.” I warned.
“Why? Do you want some? I’ll go and get a bottle for you.” She was really tipsy. I put the bottle aside. I held her face in my two hands.
“You better sleep now, okay? You’re drunk for sure.” I laid her down the bed and she pushed me off. She attempted to get the bottle, but I grabbed it first and stood a couple of meters apart from her.
“I’m gonna drink this, so you back off, okay? You heard me.” She was walking in crisscross and grinned. I drank the remaining volume of the brandy and threw the bottle on the wall. It split into a million splinters as Naomi came over and clung on my body.
I was starting to feel dizzy. The kick of the alcohol landed on me, and the world around me spun in unknown motion.
“I love you.” she whispered, but I was still conscious enough to think that it was meant for Liam. I hugged her back for support when we almost fell on the floor. I leaned on the door, and a moment later, Naomi’s lips were moving against mine.
“I said I love you.” she said in between kisses.
I decided to ride with her silly joke. She was tipsy, falling into being drunk, right?
“Do you really want this?” I countered, masking my voice with false temptation.
“Yeah.” And she kissed me again.
I pulled her close to my body and kissed her as forcefully as I could. She complemented it with steamy kisses, her lips moving in synchronized harmony with mine. Her hands moved up from my back to my hair, and ran it there surely yet smoothly. It sent an unexplainable shivers down my spine. This made me want to kiss her more. Her lips demanded too much, and as I moved my lips to give her what she wanted, I trailed my hands down her back to her waist. She let out a moan, making me dig deeper in this pioneer kiss that we were making. Soon, we lay our bodies on the soft and wide bed. We ignited a different kind of fire, creeping along our bodies.
And suddenly, everything happened in an instant.
