I was by the football field putting on my sneakers. I looked up to see Mason talking to the guys on the team.

He seems oddly attractive in his uniform.

I was so caught up staring at him that I didn't even realise him standing infront of me. "Oh, het Mason." I sent a small wave.

"You can always take a picture you know." he winked.

I blushed but remarked, "I could but I don't want my camera to break." "Scarlet." Mason said. Did he just call me Scarlet?"

I looked up to see my teacher standing infront of me.

"Scarlet Rose!" she barked. I gulped. "Yes Miss?" She rolled her eyes, "I asked you a question." "Um.." I began but the bell interrupted me.

I sighed in relief. Miss walked away, saying, "We'll finish next class."

I picked up my books and walked outside. Was I really daydreaming about Mason? What is wrong with me?

"You look like you've seen a ghost. You're paler than usual." Sofie said, walking beside me.

"During class," I began. "I can't believe I was thinking about Mason." I stammered. "You were what!" she exclaimed.

"Quiet!" I snapped.

She pulled me outside. "You really got a thing for him." she said as we arrived to an empty spot. I slowly nodded. "I guess I do."

"This is unbelievable!" Sofie exclaimed.

"What's unbelievable?" questioned the familiar voice of Mason. "Nothing." Sofie and I said almost immediately.

"O..kay then." Mason stared at us oddly.

"I'll just leave you guys." Sofie said, dashing off before I could stop her. I sighed. "So um ready for football?" he asked.

"Yeah, it's a nice sport." I replied with a nod.

"You'll grow to love it." he gave a small smile. I nodded, sending back a smile. The bell rang, "Gotta go." we said in unison.

He chuckled,, "See you." "See ya."

We both walked away and somehow managed to walk into each other. We both fell, me on top of him.

We stared at each other for a while. I never realised how mesmerising his blue eyes were.

"Thanks." he laughed. Did I just say that out loud? "Yeah you did." he replied. I said that out loud too! Okay good! I didn't say that out loud. I'm embarrassed enough.

I looked down into his chest, blushing.

Wait. Stop the traffic. I looked down into his what? I got off of him and stood up. He got up as well.

"Your eyes look mesmerising as well. Although I never understood what exact colour it is." he told me.

"What colour are they?" I asked. "Brown." he stated.

"Well that's my eye colour. Mesmerising hazel brown." I laughed awkwardly. "Um yeah." he took a strand of hair infront of my face behind my ear.

His touch made me shiver.

Tears brimmed in my eyes as dad turned into dust. The werewolf turned towards me ready to attack when a voice stopped it.

"Rose? Are you alright?" Mason's voice brought me back to reality.

"Yeah just spaced out." He was about to say something when I interrupted. "I'm sorry. I really have to go. I'm late for class." I said before racing off.
