Chapter 21

I paced around in the woods. He kissed Lily. He kissed Lily. I mean, they probably kissed before but he knew I was watching this time. 

If it was another girl I wouldn't be so dramatic.. okay maybe I would but it's Lily. 

I groaned, anger and sadness flowing through me. "Rose you should calm down, I can sense your feelings."

"Leave me alone and stop calling me Rose." I snapped. 

He sighed, "Come on Rose, Mason doesn't deserve all this attention. He doesn't deserve you. You gotta stop thinking about him."

"Just leave Ross!" I screamed, now beginning to cry.

He didn't speak. He must've left. I curled up, still crying. I was suddenly lifted off the ground. What the fudge? 

I looked up to see Ross, walking back to the direction of school. 

"No!" I yelled and jumped off him. "Rose.." his voice sounded like a warning. He began walking towards me. 

"Pain!" I yelled and he dropped to his knees, screaming in..well pain. 

"Rose, please..stop." he begged. "Leave me alone. Promise to leave me alone." I threatened. I know if I went any longer he'd die. 

"Rose!" he yelled.

I realised what I was doing. I stopped and he dropped to the ground. "I'm so-" He interrupted me, "I get it. I'm not mad. Don't worry." he said in between breaths. 

I let out a shaky breath, "I hurt you." my eyes welled with tears. 

"No Rose, don't do that to yourself." he stumbled towards me, pulling me in a comforting yet cold hug. 

I melted in his arms, hugging him back, tears still streaming down my face. 

We both slightly moved apart and stared at each other. "Rose!" I heard Mason's voice. What is he doing here? 

I looked away from Ross but he gently gently moved my face to his. 

My breath hitched and we inched closer to each other until I closed the gap. Our lips pressed together, moving rhythmically.

I can't believe I'm having my first kiss! But surprisingly with Ross, who I just met. 

Who thinks like this when they're kissing someone. I wonder what Ross is thinking right now. Why am I so weird. Oh gosh, am I even doing this right. 

What if I'm a terrible kisser? I'm definitely a terrible kisser. Oh cheese and crackers. 

I don't know why but my arms went around his neck and he pulled me closer. Not that we weren't already close. 

Slowly, we separated, staring at each other longingly. 

I heard running and turned to see Mason, running back to school. He saw that? Good. He deserves it. 

I again faced Ross and he gave me a grin to which I laughed. 

I hugged him and mumbled a 'thank you' which to that he responded with a tighter hug. I smiled. 

Mason's POV:

She kissed that Ross guy! I knew she liked him!

Why so jealous? You didn't let her explain or even bothered to listen. 

Yeah but-

She liked you idiot! You were jealous, you're dating her enemy and kissed so said enemy infront of Rose. How much of a jerk can you be. I can't believe I'm your conscience. 

Great, I ruined my relationship and friendship with Rose. 

You ruined a lot more than that. 

Shut up! Now she likes Ross. Why didn't I listen to her? Why did I have to make her feel jealous now I feel jealous. I have zero interest in Lily. 

Although I imprinted on Rose, I really love her and would've loved her even if I didn't imprint on her. 

I gotta end this with Lily.

As school was in sight, I was knocked over by a werewolf and dragged back into the woods. I turned to a wolf myself and shockingly I didn't have a single opportunity to attack this wolf. And I'm an alpha. What?

"Who are you? Why are you doing this?" I whined. 

Which for others sound like a dog crying in pain. The wolf transformed into Sofie, Rose's friend. I transformed too. 

"What's your problem?" "You hurt Scarlet, really badly. I should beat you more." she hissed. 

I sighed, "I know, I regret it now. I'm gonna break up with Lily. The truth is I don't even like her." She rolled her eyes, "You are such an idiot." I nodded, "I know, but I gotta win back Rose." 

She laughed, "Good luck with that one. I don't know if you've noticed but she's falling for another guy."

I groaned, "I know. They were kissing in the woods."

"Wow. You're not gonna win her back." Sofie said. "Thanks for the support." I rolled my eyes. "I can't help you." she shrugged. "What if I commanded you to?" I asked.

"Why would I listen?" she folded her arms. 

She then fell to the ground, crying in pain that I was causing her. "Because I'm your alpha."  "Okay. Okay." she cried. 

"I thought I heard werewol-" I heard Rose's voice coming towards us. 

"Mason."

"Rose." I stepped towards her to which she stepped back and Ross stepped infront of her. I glared at him, "Rose can I explain?" I pleaded. 

"Like you let me?" 

I flinched, "I deserved that." 

"Rose, we should get back to school." Ross spoke. "Rose? He calls you Rose?" I asked in annoyance. 

"I'm not listening to this." she said, taking Ross's hand and walking away. "Rose." I grabbed her hand. She hissed, showing her fangs and I let go. 

That. Was. Terrifying.  

"Sofie, you coming?" Rose asked. "I'll meet up with you." She looked at me, "You may be the alpha but I'll never show you any respect. You don't deserve it. You don't deserve to be alpha and you definitely don't deserve Scarlet." she spat. 

I growled angrily as she walked away and punched a tree. 

"Ow!" I rubbed my hand. "Dammit!"
