Finals are coming up, then graduation and then we leave for high school. Yay?

I really don't think I could do this whole high school thing again. Mason and I were sitting in the park where we came when we ditched school.

Well, when he ditched school.

I was helping him study, I didn't have to study so I'm good. It's been 3 weeks since the incident and Ross and I haven't really spoken and I haven't told Sofie but I know she knows that something is up.

She'll most likely confront Ross first but we'll see how that goes.

I mean, she does have a right to know as my best friend but since she's dating Ross now, I don't wanna ruin that and it's obvious that they really like each other.

Mason groaned, "Let's take a break."

I chuckled, "We've been studying for atleast fifteen minutes." "Which then requires an hour long break."

I rolled my eyes, "You'll never pass if you don't study."

"I've got school in a bag. We're simply awaiting their replies. I don't even know why we're still here."

I shrug, "That's how it is I guess."

We sat in silence, a comfortable silence, but he soon broke it. "We've never talked about you know."

"You know? Is that a code for something?" I looked at him but he looked down.

I know very well what he's talking about but if he's going to refer to it as 'you know' I don't wanna talk about it.

"That day. In the hospital I mean."  he sighed.

"Oh. That day." I said, playing with the string on my top. "Do you wanna talk about it?" Mason asked, his whole body facing me now.

I nodded, "You look ready to tell me."

"Okay.."

Mason's POV:

I was leaving home, going to pick up Rose. I went in my car to realise there was no gas.

"How does it not have gas." I groaned. Irritated, I hit the car wheel and came out of the car and began walking.

"I know about you."

I turned around, "What?"

"You're a werewolf."

I rolled my eyes, "Bravo. Would you like a medal for figuring that out."

"You can't be with Rose, you both will be betraying your own kind."

"Look, Ross. This is between Rose and I. Don't get caught up in something that doesn't concern you." I told him and walked away.

Suddenly, he appeared infront of me.

He shook his head, "You didn't think our little conversation was over did you." I stepped back but he quickly sunk his teeth into my arm.

I fell in pain, trying my best not to scream.

Bits if dark circles came into my vision. "Oh Mason. Maybe you shouldn't get caught in something that doesn't concern you."

Rose's POV:

He finished his story and I felt a pang of guilt for accusing him of abandoning me on our meant to be hang out.

Guilty that I thought of wanting him dead.

"I'm sorry." I softly apologized. " You don't need to apologize for anything. I was a jerk. I treated you terribly because I was jealous. I'm really sorry Rose."

I gave him a small smile which he quickly returned.

He drew closer to me and I looked down saying, " Funny, isn't it-" "What is?" "Let me finish."  I gave him a playful shove.

He smiled, "Sorry."

"It's funny that Ross said we would be betraying our kind, being together and he's with Sofie."

"That's called being a hypocrite." Mason laughed. "I know what it's called. I was just stating it." I rolled my eyes.

He continued to laugh.

"While you laugh. I have to get going. I'll see you later." I smiled and began to walk away. "Wait Rose."

He spun me around, his lips connecting to mine like a puzzle fitting perfectly into its place.

I melted at the warmth of his lips against mine.

This isn't my first kiss but it's my first kiss with Mason which makes it special. It would've been more special if he was my first but you can't have everything.

"Wow." he whispered, our heads still together. I smiled and I started feeling kind of uncomfortable under his stare and shifted slightly.

He still kept a smile.

"I should go." I said softly. "Do you really? We could still study." he told me, his breath hot on my lips.

I shook my head, "I've got something to do with my mom and I don't want to keep her waiting. I'll see you tomorrow." I smiled.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

--------------------------------------------------

"Okay, what's this going on with you and Ross. You were fine before and well, now you're not." Sofie confronted me.

"He didn't tell you?" I asked.

"Well obviously not Scarlet. Why do you think I'm asking you?" I shrugged, "To hear my side of the story."

"You say you're side like if it's something big."

I sighed, "Maybe because it is." "What is it Scarlet." "Aren't you apart of Mason's pack?" I asked. She nodded. "So how do you not know."

"What so everyone in the pack knows too?"

I shrug, "I suppose. It's not like it's a secret. Where have you been?"

"I don't get why I didn't hear about it. Tell me." she urged. I sighed, "Fine." I took a seat on a park bench.

I told her the story and let's just say she was shocked.

"What! Why didn't you tell me?" she yelled. "Things are going good between you and Ross." I defended.

"He tried to kill my alpha!" she yelled.

We got strange looks from some people across the street and I gave them an awkward wave. "Try to keep your voice down atleast." I told her.

"I shouldn't have to keep my voice down. How could you not tell me this, you're my best friend. I can't believe I'm with the guy who did that." she ranted.

"Why didn't Mason tell me?" she looked at me.

"The same reason I didn't tell you." I shrug. I seem to be doing that a lot. "You think about me way too much. Look what he did to y'all and I didn't know. I'm here all merry while this happened to you. You were suppose to tell me this Scarlet."

"It passed Sofie. You should forget about it. We have. Ross really likes you. Though Mason and I hate him we can't avoid him."

"You-"

"He's in my pack and he's your guy. You like him Sofie and Mason and I just want you to be happy. It doesn't matter anymore okay. So please just, just get over it." I told her.

She sighed and hugged me.

"I'm still upset with you, but what should I do about Ross, just act like nothing happened?" "That's up to you my friend." I pat her shoulder and walked away.

"You're so not helpful." she called.

I laughed, "See you later Sof!"
