Chapter 24

"You were always so conceited." I laughed, playfully pushing Ross.

He chuckled, "You have to admit I'm hot. You were always checking me out." I rolled my eyes, a small smile still on my face. 

Ross and I were just sitting around in our home, having fun like we used to. 

We are married and have 3 kids who are no longer living with us, being big and all. I love my time with Ross although I miss Sofie a lot, she died two hundred years ago. 

So yeah, I'm 342 years old. Time has flew by and Ross and I are still together, the cool thing about being a vampire couple. 

You live forever.

"Rosemary! Your friends are here!" I yelled for my fifteen year old daughter. 

"Coming mom!" she yelled back. "Yeah, all your friends, boyfriend included." Mason grumbled. I elbowed him, 'Will you behave yourself." 

He rolled his eyes, "When she dumps him." 

I faced him, "You better behave because you know very well she isn't gonna dump him, she imprinted on him after all."

He sighed. Rosemary, Rose as Mason prefers to call her, is a vampire-werewolf hybrid. 

Basically means she's both vamp and wolf. She can live forever, transform into a wolf, has special vamp powers, can imprint, etc.

She's really special. 

She came downstairs, waving us goodbye but mentally saying she loves us and stuff, one of her powers. 

"Wanna go to the park?" Mason asked. I nodded. 

We pulled up to the park where we went when Mason and I didn't go to school. He even proposed here. 

As usual, we went on the swings. 

Sofie and Ross are married actually but they weren't as lucky as Mason and I, their son is a plain werewolf. 

Life is great, I'm 142 years old and I love my life with Mason. I wouldn't trade this life for anything.

I woke up to this weird beeping sound and I looked immediately towards Mason. 

His chest is quickly going up and down, faster than before and he looks paler than a vamp. I looked at the machine monitoring his heart rate and it's all squiggly lines and I'm so confused and I think I could cry. 

"Don't worry Mason, I'll get help. Just hang in there, please just hang in there." I pleaded and ran out the room for the doctor. 

I ask the front desk for the doctor and she told me his office which I immediately ran to. 

I heard talking as I approached his office and heard Ross' voice with the doctor. Me being sneaky, I listened in. 

Mason could die and your studying to be a spy. 

Whatever, they could be saying anything and I don't wanna interrupt. 

If he dies it's on you, people never listen to their conscience. 

"This is all going as planned, once Mason is dead, we could attack his pack successfully and Scarlet Rose wouldn't be there to stop us because she'll be busy mourning Mason." the doctor said.
