Chapter 27

Mason's POV:

Prom is coming up, then graduation the day after. It's really rushed when you think about it. 

As the gentleman I am, I was getting a very special graduation gift for Rose with Brian. 

"Dude, I still think this is too much." Brian told me as we browsed in a store. I rolled my eyes, "If this is too mushy for you go." I tell him. 

"It's not too mushy. I just think this is too much." he retorted. 

"I love her okay. I want to show her how much I love and appreciate her. It's just a graduation gift." I say. 

"Whatever Mason, she's your girlfriend." 

"That she is. Come on let's look somewhere else." I tell him and walk out the store. Walking through the mall I spotted what I was looking for and ran into the store.

"No running." the guard said lazily. 

I pointed at the thing for the girl behind the counter to show me. It was beautiful and I knew Rose would like it. Love it. 

Brian whistled, "That looks expensive." 

I smiled, "Perfect." I bought Rose's gift and looked at Brian. "What do we do now?" I guess we could go for our tuxes." he shrugged. 

I nodded, "Let's get some ice cream first."

"Okay, let's look for some tuxes." I say to Brian as we got our ice creams. 

"Isn't that your girlfriend over there with her friend?" Brian asked, pointing over to Rose and Sofie with ice creams of their own. 

I nodded, I saw bags in their hands. "Must be shopping for prom and grad." I say. 

"We should say 'hi'." he suggests. I shook my head quickly, "Let them have their girl time." He looked at me suspiciously but shrugged, "Whatever. Let''s get our tuxes and leave."

Scarlet's POV:

So prom and graduation are coming up. I think it's rushed. One day after the other but who cares. 

I never went to prom before because I never dated then. 

So this prom is gonna be my first and last. I'm not really that excited. I could care less. I'm going because I have friends now and mom is gonna force me to go. 

Sofie is coming in a while so we could go shopping. 

Excitement!

I'm not big on the whole dress thing but I agreed because I get to wear a converse with it. Heels aren't my thing. I'm surprised they're anybody's thing. 

The doorbell rang. 

"Bye mom!" I yelled running out the door. "Hey Sof." "Scarlet." Sofie greeted me. We began walking, Sofie telling me her dress ideas.

"What about this one?" Sofie asked me, showing me an orange dress. 

I screwed up my face. "I won't even wear that when I'm dead." I told her. "You are dead." she remarked. 

I rolled my eyes. Sof already had a turquoise dress picked for herself. She was busy looking for a dress for me while I was reading a book. 

"This one has to be the one!" she exclaimed. 

I lazily looked up and shook my head, looking back down but quickly looked back up. "Wait no that's perfect." I smiled. 

She squealed, "Finally!" 

It was a medium length, red silky dress. I went and tried it on and it reached right below my knees. 

"I love it." I beamed.

We bought our dresses and went to look for a heels for Sofie.

"I didn't know it was so much work for prom." I sighed as we ate our ice creams. 

"Oh, we're not done." Sofie laughed. I laughed with her but she didn't stop smiling. "You're joking right?" 

She shook her head. "We have to get a dress for graduation." she told me in a duh tone. 

I groaned, "Why did't we just buy it with the prom dresses." "Because graduation dresses are casual dresses, prom is fancy. Come on, I saw a great store and we'll get some boots to go with our dresses." I smiles at the mention of boots. 

"Isn't that your girlfriend over there with her friend?" I heard Brian ask. 

"Must be shopping for prom and grad." Mason replies. 

"We should say 'hi'." Brian suggests. Mason quickly stated, "Let them have their girl time." Brian just said, "Whatever. Let''s get our tuxes and leave."

Hmm. I'm glad he didn't come over. I'm not really in the mood to speak to him.

"Let's go." I tell Sofie somewhat excitedly. She smirked and we walked to a floral dress shop. I easily picked a purple floral dress with a short denim boots and Sofie again got a blue dress with butterflies and high black boots. 

It was a weird choice but I said nothing. "Right so this is it?" I asked. 

Sofie nodded.  "Just have to wait for the big days now."
