They know my father? Aiden Winters?
"You know my father? Aiden Winters?" I question. They all nod.
"He was the first shifter," Blizzard nods.
"So there is six shifters overall? Or is he one of the other four?" I question.
"He is the first, you are the sixth. No, he is not apart of the other four," Timber speaks up for the first time.
"Where is he?" I ask.
"On a long mission. He came back about five years ago and made the other shifters then left around the start of last July, he will come back in another year or so," Timber replies.
"You just...let him go?" I question with tears in my eyes. My dad was possibly still alive. Possibly.
"No, he let himself go. He left a note," Timber answers.
I nod and let the fire burn the tears away. "Could I meet the others?"
"Sure," Medellion says happily. I get up and walk through series of tunnels with her. I'm surprised we aren't lost yet.
As we walk, I think about where my father might have gone. Maybe he went to check out Werewolf Colony in Australia. Maybe he went to my home town . . .
We come into a large cave quite similar to the main cave. I see the other four sitting around a campfire, talking about something. Before we walk in, I say something to Medellion quickly.
"I think I know where Aiden went," I told her.
"Where?" She asks, not missing beat.
"Australia. Our home town. I was born in Australia but moved here," I explain.
"Oh."
I realise the other shifters had listened into my conversation. I do the best wolfy smile I can and kind of just wait there.
"Uh, hello," I greet.
"Winter," Shayden says, looking surprised.
"Blitze," I say back, being careful I use his wolf name.
"What are you doing here?" Shayden questions.
I turn to see Medellion has disappeared. Just great. "I came to see how you were doing. I haven't seen you for two weeks."
He looks apologetic and apologises, "uh, yeah, sorry about that. Late notice."
I do another wolfy smile and just stand there awkwardly.
Shayden turns to his friends and lowers his head a bit, "show her guys. Show her who you are."
Ok . . .
They are start turning so I do the same. I jump in the air and twist as well because it's a much swifter process when I twist. I get up from the ground and brush off my clothes then look up.
I see is the face of Shayden, but I also see the familiar faces of Jordan, Connor and
Charlie?
You have to be kidding me.
