Dancing Away With My Heart

Chapter 7

After rehearsals on Friday I invited Jenna over that night , she accepted the offer and told me she would be over at 6:00 . I picked out a movie on Netflix for us to watch that kind of had something to do with the situation I was in where two friends started liking the same boy and didn't tell each other about it .

It was a little after six when Jenna showed up

"Sorry I'm late .. I had a little argument with Alan" She said , she seemed puzzled

"Oh , Do - Do you need to talk about it" I asked

"No , It was over a dance routine" She said " He wanted to do a burlesque dance with you and I said you probably wouldn't be up for it and after that we got into it a little." Oh My god . They fought over me ?

"Um ..." Was all I got out

"It's okay Dani , He decided not to do it , He chose a Contemporary instead" She said . I was kinda sad , I've always wanted to do a burlesque routine , But I didn't want her to know that.

"Great" I say

"So ... What movie did you pick out" She asked

"Oh , Just uh ... something on Netflix" I said . She walked over to the TV and read the description of the movie

"Sounds good" She said .

We made the popcorn , got the snacks , and then started the movie . It wasn't long after the movie started until my plan fell into place

"You know ... If I liked the same guy as my best friend I think I would tell her" Jenna says . Wait What ?!

"What ? Really?" Is all I get out , I was completely shocked by what she said

"Yeah" She says "I mean .. What would you do?"

"I don't know ... I guess it would depend" I say

"I understand where your coming from" She says

"Well ... What if your bestfriend had a crush on Alan" I ask

"Well ... Your my bestfriend ... So if you had a crush on Alan I would probably ask you why you didn't tell me sooner" She answers

"Uh.."I manage so say

"Trying to tell me something Dani?" She asks

"Wh-What" I stutter

"I know Alan is in love with you" She says . Hold On . What?

"H-H-He - " She cuts me off

"Gosh Dani Relax . I was kidding" She says . I let out a deep breath , I was glad she said she was kidding because I was about to say that I couldn't belive he actually told her and that wouldn't have ended well

"Right , Yeah , I knew that" I say

"Well since the movie is over , I think I'm gonna head downstairs , It's already 6:30 and Alan and I have dinner reservations at 8:00" She says gathering her things

"Okay , I guess I'll see you tomorrow" I say

"Yeah , Let's make some plans with Emma" She says

"I'll call her and talk to her" I say unlocking my phone as Jenna leaves .

I quickly find Alan's contact and send him a text

Danielle: We need to talk ...

Alan: Okay ? I'll come up when Jenna gets in the shower .

Danielle: Hurry !

He down at reply after that but I know he would be up soon anyways so then I decide to call Emma like I said I would so we could make plans for tomorrow
