Dancing Away With My Heart

Chapter 30

"A-A divorce?" He asks.

"We...We're so young and got together so quickly" I say.

"We got together so quickly because we're in love and want to be in love with each other for the rest of our lives" He says. We had quit yelling at each other and began talking like adults.

"Maybe that was before" I say.

"No, Babe, You're just hurt and upset because we lost a baby and because I'm such an idiot for kissing Jenna. I don't want her, I don't love her" He says.

"Alan-"

"We can't get a divorce" He cuts me off.

"Why not?" I ask

"Because...Because on February 16th, 2017, I stood up in front of our friends, our family, and God and I made a promise" He starts. "I made a promise that I would always love you and that I would always chose to love you. That's what this ring symbolizes. I'm always going to chose to love you. Even when we fight and argue and hate each other...I'm always going to love you".

"Alan-"

"No, I love you, Danielle, I'm not getting a divorce" He says. I didn't want a divorce either. I was just hurt and said things I shouldn't have.

"I'm sorry" I say. "I just felt so..hurt and I said things I didn't mean".

"I'm sorry, Baby, I swear it will never ever happen again" He says.

"Do you still love me?" I ask. He walks over to me and puts his hands on my waist.

"I will spend my entire life trying to prove how much I love you. I'll fly to the moon, I-I'll swim all the oceans just to see you smile, I love you so much and I never want anyone else" He says. I wrap my arms around his neck.

"Y-You're the one I want to be with. I want to wake up years from now when we're old and gray and say that we made it. I want to sit back and watch old clips of our dances when we first met. And, I want to sit back and listen to Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go and dance around our living room. I want all of that with you." I say.

"Forgive Me?" He says.

"Okay" I say. His lips meet mine and everything felt right again. Everything was as it was supposed to be. I was back with Alan and everything was okay again.
