Dancing Away With My Heart

It was Monday night, Alan had dance  for the show tonight which happened to be the 2nd to last show of the season . It was 7:59 so I turned the channel to watch the show and then the opening number started , My eyes instantly went to Alan. Watching him made me so proud but it also made me want to get back out there and dance with him instead of Emma

"You'll be out there with him next week" I hear a voice say , I look over and can't believe my eyes 

"Jenna?!" I say and shoot out of the bed

"Hey" She says

"What are you doing here?"I ask

"I wanted to come see you earlier than thus but there's always someone here and I wanted to talk privately so I asked the producers if I could skip tonight's show" She says

"I'm happy to see you" I say

"I'm glad your okay, but, we...have some things to talk about"She says

"I-Im so sorry about the kiss" I say

"No , It's my turn to Apologize to you" She says

"You Dont-"

"No , I do , I was a bitch and didn't believe you even though I knew in my heart that you were telling the truth" She says

"We didn't sleep together , We only kissed" I say

"I know , The kiss was just ... The icing on top of the cake" She said

"We...We didn't mean to break your heart" I say

"My heart was already broken , You two just twisted the knife"

"I-Im...I don't know what to say" I said

"You don't have to say anything , It's okay...I forgave you...and I hope you can forgive me" She says

"I do" I say "You know... I tried to forget about Alan, but, I struggled because I didn't know how"

"I've seen how in love with you he is and a love like that isn't easy to forget" She says

"He really isnt" I say and she smiles

"I've missed you" She said

"You were the first person I wanted to see when I woke up" I say

"Why?"

"I needed to make sure you were still my bestfriend" I say

"I am" She says "And your still mine"

"Well then come here and hug me" I say and pull her into a big hug

"I thought you were going to die when you got in the wreck" She says , I pull away

"Hey, I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere" I say

"Good to know" She says .

Jenna and I sat and talked for hours and hours about random things that we usually talked about and then the elephant in the room came up

"So... What are you and Alan?" She asks

"Um-"

"It's okay to say 'boyfriend' , Dani" She says

"Well... Then that's what he is" I say

"I'm happy for you" She said "I'm happy that he's happy"

"Is-Is it okay with you" I ask

"Yeah, It's fine" She says

"Alan is...my boyfriend" I say , She smiles

"How long have you been waiting to say that?" She asks

"A long time" I say.

We sat and talked for a little longer until we heard a knock at the door , Alan then walked in my room. 

"Hey" He says closing the door behind him

"Hey, You looked good tonight" I say as he pulls me into a hug

"You look better right now" He says

"We both know I look better than the both of you" Jenna says

"Keep telling yourself that" I say and she laughs , I could tell things were a little awkward between her and Alan still

"Babe, Are you ready to get home?"Alan asks sitting down in the chair across from the hospital bed

"Yeah, I'm ready to sleep in my own bed" I say

"When do you get to go home?" Jenna asks

"Friday" I answer

"Good, We can hang out Saturday" Jenna said "You know...Like we used too"

"It's a date" I say

"I'm glad the two of you are friends again" Alan said

"Me too" Jenna and I said in unison , Alan smiled

"Jenna..Can I talk to you for a minute? Privatly?" He asked

"Sure" Jenna answers and they walk out the door and down the hallway.

Alan came back inside a few minutes later after talking to Jenna and sat back in his chair.

"What did you talk to her about?" I asked

"Just-Just a number for the finale" Hr answered

"I can't wait to dance with you again" I say

"I can't wait to sing to you during rehearsals" He says

"Sing to me" I said

"What do you want me to sing?" He asks as he walks over to the bed and lays down beside me

"Wake Me Up" I say knowing he would know what I meant

"You put the boom boom into my heart, You send my soul sky high when your lovin starts. Jitterbug into my brain, goes a bang bang bang til my feet do the same" He sings

"I was dreaming but I should have been with you Instead" I say quoting the song

"Your with me now, and your always going to be" He says and kisses my forehead

"I wouldn't have it any other way" I said

"It was meant to be you and I forever" He says

"Babe?" I say

"Yes?"

"Don't go home tonight, Stay here with me and keep me in your arms" I said

"I'm not going anywhere" He said.

Not long after that I fell into a deep sleep. I knew that as long as I was with Alan right now everything was going to be okay, even if the doctor told me tomorrow that I could never dance again I knew I was going to be okay because I had Alan. Alan was all I ever wanted and he's all that I will ever need.
