you smiled as you looked through your closet for something to wear. sodapop had told you to wear something nice for your date because he planned something big.

you finally settled on something you deemed nice enough and quickly changed. you had just slipped on your shoes when you heard a knock at your door.

you ran down stairs as fast as you could with heels on and opened the door after messily braiding your hair.

soda stood there with a huge smile plastered across his handsome face. he was plaid in his casual jeans with a white tee shirt. you guessed he was trying to look tuff tonight because he had a cigarette placed in between his pale lips.

"are you ready, baby?" he asked with a smile offering his hand.

you giggled and nodded before letting him lead you to wherever he had planned.

as you guys got in the car he tied a blindfold around your eyes carefully. you just chuckled and shook your head before hearing darry's truck rumble to a start.

after awhile the truck seemed to stop and soda helped you out of the car before leading you carefully to his surprise.

finally, he reached over and took your blindfold off slowly. in front of you there was a lake along with the sun setting creating a vibrant pink, orange, and purple to sweep across the beautiful picnic in front of you.

"soda, it's beautiful." you smiled.

"not as beautiful as you." he mumbled causing you to blush. suddenly, he grabbed your hands gently and you looked up into his dancing blue eyes.

you gasped and your hands flew up to your mouth as he slowly lowered himself onto one knee.

"y/n, i've loved you ever since i laid eyes on you and i can't picture myself without you. will you make me the luckiest man alive and marry me?" he asked shyly.

"of course, sodapop curtis." you stuttered as he slipped the ring on your finger before you jumped into his arms and placed your lips against his pale ones.
