your feet padded against the sidewalk as you made your way to the lot. the sky had already darkened and the stars were the only source of light that you had. a shiver traveled up your spine as a gust of wind blew across your face.

you stuffed your hands in your sweatshirt pockets as you looked up at the long yard connected to the lot. you made your way through the few trees before making it to the run down couch cushion. your eyes widened when you saw johnny laying down effortlessly staring at the sky with his hands behind his head.

he was in your gang but you never took the time to actually engage in a conversation with him.

"hi johnny." you smiled slightly, sitting down next to him.

"hey y/n." he mumbled a reply before glancing at you quickly.

"why are you out here this late?" you asked him in a confused manner.

"i didn't wanna stay in the house." he replied slightly.

you sighed, realizing you wouldn't be able to get anything out of him. you took a good leap of courage and cuddled lightly into his side, placing your head on his chest. almost on instinct, johnny's arm wrapped around your shoulders and held you closer to him.

it was then that you realized how you felt about johnny. it took you a long while to figure it out, bit you know now.

"johnny?" you asked being your blunt self.

"yeah?" he asked keeping his gaze on the sky.

"i think i love you." you told him. you somehow were able to feel his smile.

"good. cause i think i love you too." he mumbled.

"really?" you sat up to look at him shocked. he just simply nodded before pulling you back down to lay beside him. when you were on the verge of falling asleep, you felt his lips graze your ear.

"ya wanna be my girl?" he whispered gently.

"of course johnnycakes." you mumbled against his chest.
