steve and you started walking towards the dx from your house. a group of socs had gotten to him last night and you found him on the sidewalk not far from your house. you brought him back to patch him up, and this morning you tagged along with him so you could see soda.

you could tell something had been bothering soda lately. he had told you he loved you before, but because of your fear of losing someone you loved you didn't rush anything. which also means that you never told him that you loved him too. you both started dating two weeks ago, awhile after you first moved to tulsa.

steve knew about this and told you not to worry about it and that you were probably over thinking soda's reactions. you knew you weren't and you knew that he was going to do something stupid.

walking up to the dx, the car workshop was closed since steve wasn't there yet. however when you and steve walked into the station soda was leaned over the counter talking to a soc with a flirty smile on his face. you turned to steve and laid a hand on your hip with on pointed look on your face.

steve rubbed the back of his neck glancing at soda. "he keeps glancing at us, maybe he's just trying to make you jealous?" he suggested.

"yeah, maybe." you mumbled walking off to the bathroom. you looked at yourself in the mirror and started pointing out reasons why that girl was better than yourself.

soda stopped you before you could walk out of the shop at the end of the day. "hey, how come you haven't been talking to me today?" he asked tilting his head slightly.

"it's nothing." you replied shrugging his hand off your shoulder.

he shook his head and grabbed your wrist gently before you could leave. "no it's something. what's wrong?" he asked, his blue eyes narrowing.

"nothing." you snapped. "i was just a little upset about you flirting with that soc earlier." your voice was sharper than you intended it to be and his eyes softened.

"look, i'm sorry. i wasn't thinking i guess." he whispered looking down.

"what's been up with you lately? it always seems like you're trying to make me jealous." you wondered allowed to no one.

"i'm just worried and scared. i'm so nervous that you don't really like me and you're just dating me to tell people that you've dated sodapop curtis." he frowned looking at you with his sad puppy eyes.

you cupped his cheeks with your hands and pecked his lips. "soda, i love you more than anything in this world and don't you ever forget it. alright?" you asked smiling slightly.

he grinned back at me. "alright."
