coast : sodapop

you walked into the dx and immediately smiled at sodapop who smiled back. "hey sodapop, what's up?" you asked kissing his cheek in case your brother were to be watching you.

"nothing much, you ready for a long day of painful work?" he asked over-dramatically causing you to laugh.

"when am i ever not ready?" you joked.

"everyday." he replied with a playful straight face.

"you're adorable." you whispered putting your hands on his chest. he smiled and wrapped an arm around your waist and tangled the other in your hair.

"and you're beautiful." he mumbled. you smiled and within three seconds your lips were connected.

after a minute or two, a growl was heard behind you. "and when was i gonna be informed about this?" steve's gruff voice asked.

soda and you immediately pulled apart and turned to look at steve. soda had a little bit of fear in his eyes but he hid it well.

"so how long have you two been frolicking?" steve asked sarcastically.

"uh nine months." soda counted in his head.

steve started coughing. "nine months!? and no one told me!?"

"no not really." you shook your head. "never even crossed our minds."

steve glared at you. "why the hell would you not even think about telling me you're dating my best friend?"

"because he's your best friend." you said in a 'duh' tone. "and you'd never approve of it."

"no shit!" steve snapped.

"hey in my defense, he's a cute bastard." you shrugged.

"alright, enough with flirting with him while have an argument with me." steve grunted.

"it's just how i roll bro." you said giving him a peace sign not really bothered by the disagreement.

"you're not even bothered by this are you y/n?" steve asked, throwing his hands in the air.

"guys please stop arguing. steve i really like your sister, and i was gonna tell you, but just not yet because i was afraid you wouldn't let me be with the girl i love." soda interrupted.

steve looked at him surprised. "you promise not to hurt my sister?"

"i swear on my life." soda promised.

"then you two can date." steve sighed and you smiled hugging him.

"thanks stevie!" you kissed his cheek with a smile before walking into the garage to work on a soc's car.
