I get up and walk into the bathroom to brush my hair and swap out my normal earrings for ones that are a little more fancy. Once I'm done, I put Mike's Santa hat back on my head and walk over to him on the couch.

"Ready?"

"Yep, lets go, beautiful."

Sophie's POV:

After finishing up breakfast with Michael's parents go into the lounge together. As we walk in, the tree that Karen and Daryl decorated together comes into view, it's beautiful. I smile and take a seat on the couch. Karen hand me a small present with a cute little name tag on it.

I slowly pick at the tape to pull the pretty wrapping paper off and reveal the present, as I'm doing this Daryl hands Michael a present about the same size with fancy looking Christmas wrapping and a cute tag to complete the look

Unlike me with my perfectionism and careful pealing of the tape, Michael rips the wrapping in half to get it off quickly. I shake my head at him and let out a small giggle, he parents also quietly laughing at our differences. Once the wrapping is off I see a small jewelry box, Michael has a very similar one.

"Before you open the boxes, we just wanted to say that. This isn't a way of us trying to push your relationship too much. We just see how close you two still are after all this time, and we still consider you our daughter, Sophie. We don't want it to seem like we're putting pressure on you, we just want you to be happy in whatever you guys choose to do."

"Okay? You didn't like get us wedding rings did you, mum?"

"Oh god no. Just open the boxes and you'll see."

I look at Michael, confused and he just smiles and nods down at the small box in my hands and starts to open his so I open mine too. I look down into my hands to see a plain-ish, yet beautiful bracelet, Michael's box holds an identical one. I notice a small hole on the main silver decor, so I pick the bracelet up in my hands and look into it, Michael copies my actions.
