I grab a second controller so ready to kick Calum's ass, even in my current state. He totally knows what I need and when. He's the best friend I could ask for. I'd love to add Sophie into our friend group, I'm sure Calum would agree.

Sophie's POV:

Everything is palish and whiter than usual, sort of clouded, still, I can see my parents beside my bed and my usually annoying little brother and sister are sitting on the end of the bed. They are all in tears. I stand up and walk around but when I turn around I see my lifeless body laying on the bed, connected to lots of machines. There's a few small bruises on my legs and a gash on my forehead but apart from that I look fine. I walk towards the door and slowly push it open, I walk into the foyer and look towards the waiting area. There is two very familiar faces sitting there in tears, one leaning his head on his friend's shoulder. I walk towards them and see that it's Michael and Calum, I can't believe they are actually here. I run to them and try to hug Michael and wipe away his tears, but I go straight through them...I go back and kneel down in front of them.

"Michael...it's okay. I'm okay. Please don't cry for me...I'm okay. Go back to school, I'll be there tomorrow. Please don't cry."

I know he can't hear me but I have to know that I've tried, it kills me to see him cry...although I'm already a ghost so it can't actually kill me. I stand up and go back to my room. I have to wake up, I know I'm okay so why can't the real me just stand up. I re-enter my body,

"Wake up...Wake up...everyone needs reassurance...wake up!"

I open my eyes slowly and look at my parents, I give them a reassuring smile and squeeze my mother's hand.

"I'm okay..."

"Sophie...You're...You're okay?"

"Yes. I'm okay...Anna, Bryce...I love you guys so much. I'm okay...Your big sister is here and I promise to never let you two do what I did."

"Sophie...We love you too. Don't scare us like that!"

"I'm sorry...I won't...Hey mum? Can you tell Michael and Calum that I'm ok?"

"You dial the number I'll make the call...but I have to call the nurse first."

"Okay...thank you!"

Dad walks out most likely to signal a nurse, to give me a check up. Anna and Bryce jump up either side of me on the bed and I wrap my arms around them. A place a kiss on each of their heads and they giggle. The nurse walks in with dad. I look into the nurse's eyes and there's no doubt that they match Michael's.

"Hey Sophie, how are you doing? Where is your pain?"

"I'm okay. Nothing really hurts...maybe the ga..my forehead..."

"What was that? The what?"

"Nothing...My forehead hurts a little bit. I'm not thinking completely straight..."

"Okay, well can you rate the pain on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being barely there and 10 being excruciating."

"About a 2...I guess."

"You're probably fine to go. Just rest up..."

"One question...are you by any chance related to Michael Clifford?"

"Yes actually...I'm his mother. What gave it away?"

"Your eyes, they match Michael's. Your son is a really nice boy...when he's not acting like a total douche bag..."

"Yeah, he's a bit like that. He really likes you by the way...He dropped by the hospital today with his friend Calum, they are both really worried about you."

"I kn...I mean...thanks. I like him too, but I'm just not sure how much."

Mrs. Clifford walks out and mum hands me a bag.

"There's a set of clean clothes in there and a bathroom over there...shower if you want but don't take as long as you do at home, please."

"I'll try not to take too long but you can go get breakfast if you haven't had anything yet while I'm in here. Because I take a while..."

"Sophie. Just hurry up."

I walk into the small hospital bathroom, it doesn't look like I'm going to take long in the shower after all...it's so weird. Not being in my own bathroom. After I finally finish showering I change into the clothes mum packed me; blue jeans, black uggies, a grey and black striped shirt and I finish it off with a black coat...it's quite cold in here. I don't feel like brushing my hair so I just put the white beanie on and use it to hold my hair in place to cover my gash on my head. Mum actually didn't pack a bad outfit. I walk back into the hospital room and see my little siblings laying down on my old bed.

"Okay guys, I'm ready..."

"Some boy kept calling and texting for ages so I called him and told him to stop...I hope you don't mind."

"Who was it?"

"Calum? I think?"

"Okay...I'll call him when I get home."

"No you won't. When we get home you're going straight to bed."

I grab my black bag and walk out slowly, being careful of the bruises on my legs as the jeans are tight around my legs. Dad stops to pay the bill but I keep walking to the car with mum, Anna and Bryce. I get in the back seat and put my bag on the floor between my feet. Mum starts the engine and dad catches up and jumps in the passenger side.
