As much as you usually hated the way you look in clothes that were- less than conservative, you looked half way decent tonight. It was a black party dress that clung to your body. A band riddled with gold glitter roughly three inches thick came around the entire dress. Your best friend Jennifer was having her bachelorette party tonight and she INSISTED you wore this dress. After she told you countless times that you looked 'fine as hell', you agreed to wear the dress.

Glancing at the clock, you swore under your breath when you realised you were already late. Shit, Jennifer was going to kill you. In a flash, you had already grabbed your purse and car keys as you headed towards the front door.

You were just about to leave the house when you heard a, "And where do you think you're going?" Turning around, you saw that is was your boyfriend Mark standing towards the kitchen with an amused look on his face.

"Excuse me?"

"I'm sorry, let me rephrase that. Where do you think you're going, dressed like-" He slowly ran his eyes over your entire body, stopping longer in some places than others. As much as that should have made you feel empowered, all it managed to do was make you more uncomfortable than you already were. "that?"

With all the blood rushing to your cheeks, you managed to speak up. "I've got Jessica's Bachelorette party tonight remember? She insisted I wear this... thing."

"Normally I would have very, very appreciative of this little number." A small smirk began to appear on Mark's face as he made his way closer towards you. "But you're going out by yourself in that? I'm not incredibly comfortable with this. There won't be other guys there right? Like at all?"

"It's a bachelorette party Mark, no guys at all. Besides, It's one night. Not even a full night, it's 4 hours tops! I can handle myself." Mark gave you a sweet look as he looked down at you.

"I know you can it's just as your boyfriend I can't help but worry about you."

"I'll call you when I'm on my home ok?" You said as you started walking out the door again.

"You better, cause don't think I won't send a fucking swat team after you." All you could do was smile as you closed the door behind you.

Three hours later and your head was practically spinning. You may have had more alcohol than you were planning on intakeing, but it was a great night overall. It was truly a night for you to forget about how much life currently sucked and just let loose.

Mark was right about the dress attracting certain types of people. The night may have started at a male strip club, but it ended at a local bar. You'd be lying if you said you hadn't noticed the stares you had gotten from people of the male persuasion tonight. The fact that a few woman were staring at you gave you the creeps as well.

Before stumbling out of the bar slightly, you managed to send a text off to Mark, telling him that you were on your way home. All he responded with was "Just make it home in one piece ok?". With you being slightly tipsy, you found that statement way more hysterical than it actually was.

You made your way down the dark street in search of a cab to take you home. Other than two dimly lit lamp posts lighting the way, there wasn't any other source of light around. As you wandered down the streets, a chill began to make it's way up your spine. Your hands went towards your upper arms in an attempt to rub some heat into them.

After that chill went up your spine, something felt off about the night. This gut feeling began to rise in your stomach, telling you something wasn't right. Just as you began to wave the gut feeling off, some sort of force collided into you, knocking you on the ground.
