This imagine is based off the song "Trouble" by Never Shout Never, enjoy!

Your life had been going pretty great, which shocks you every time you think about it. You've always been the type of person who seems to just attract bad luck in their life. As of lately, things couldn't have been better; business is picking up in your newly opened cup cake shop Sweet Cakes Bakery, which is definitely better than closing down your doors already like you thought you were going to have to. Overall things have been rather great.

Today you were at your shop doing some routine cleaning and paperwork, which wasn't as bad as it sounds. With some smooth jazz on in the background, it became  tedious work to get yourself lost in.

While you were in the middle of balancing the places check book, a bell rang throughout the building letting you know some one had entered your shop.

You stood up, a smile already plastered on your face. "I'm sorry, I'll be there in a minute!" You called out to the customer as you started to make your way out of your cluttered office.

"Take your time Y/N, it's just your good ole' best friend Mark. It's not like it's anyone important.." You heard a deep voice respond, which made your smile ten times bigger. Mark had not only been your best friend for almost a year now, he was the one that told you that you should live out your dream and open this business up. Without him telling you that, you wouldn't be standing here.

"I swear to God Mark if you say your not again important, I will stab you."

"Well, it looks like your going to be stabbing me today.." You had finally made your way to the front area to find Mark casually leaning against the counter, his thumbs in the belt loops of his jeans.

"For what do I owe this pleasure?" You asked Mark as you started to get his favorite cup cake, Peanut butter cup.

"I just finished editing today's videos and I found myself in the neighborhood, so I figured I'd stop by." Without another word, you handed him the cup cake. "God Y/N, you are an angel!" There were a few moments of silence before Mark cleared his throat. "You know- for the baking and yeah..." Mark shut his mouth as face turned bright red.

"I wouldn't go that far..." You found yourself saying as you came from behind the counter to stand next to Mark. The two of you stood there for the next minutes in silence as he devoured the cup cake. This is how your friendship worked though, you could sit there in silence for hours, but as long as you had each other's company, everything was ok.

After the cup cake was gone, Mark turned towards you with a somewhat serious look on his face.

"As much as I love your baked goods, there's actually reason I came here.." He looked down at the ground, his face turning a light shade of pink.

"What's going on Mark? We're best friends, you can tell me anything." It could have been the fact that you've gotten little sleep over the past couple of days but you could have SWORN you saw Mark cringe when you said best friends.

"The thing is.. You might not think that afterwards-" You moved to stand in front of Mark as he continued to stare down at the ground. You tucked your middle finger under his chin, and forced his head up to look into your eyes.

"Nothing, and I mean nothing, could ever make me not want to be your best friend." Mark's eyes started to glisten with tears, but he sniffed in an attempt to stop them from falling.

"Y/N... I've-" Mark stumbled over his words, but cleared his throat and continued on. "I'm-" He was interrupted by the sound of bell ringing over the door. You looked over and an older woman had walked through the door.
