Jade's POV
We had just finished decorating the living room and setting things up, Lisa and I managed to get a karaoke machine for only fifty dollars which wasn't bad, considering the price was supposed to be two hundred. That really surprised me but then maybe the person who sold it to us knew who Lisa was and he was a fan so he gave it to us for that reason...Or maybe he just wanted to get rid of it.
Lisa was currently stood on top of a ladder trying to pin up a banner that she had custom made that had "Cimorelli Sisters Are The Best." Written on. I smiled and shook my head as I read it again.
Lisa is one cheeky girl.
"Hey, Jadey." Lisa says looking down at me. I look up and raise my eyebrows telling her she has my attention. "Can you just help me with the other side please, I think there's a spare ladder under the stairs."
I nod my head and go fetch the other ladders, I hum along to the music that Lisa has put on and start looking for the ladders, it doesn't take long and I grab them making sure not to knock anything over.
I walk back the living room and set them up next to where the other side of the banner will be.
I carefully pin the banner up after a few failed attempts but it's soon up and I smile at our handy work.
As I'm stepping down from the ladder I feel it wobble a bit and notice Lisa's doing the same.
"Be careful, the ladders are a bit wobbly." I say as I quickly jump down.
"Don't worry." Lisa laughs. "I got this."
As soon as she said those words, the ladder gave away and Lisa nearly landed flat on her ass, but thankfully for her I was there to catch her.
"Don't worry, I got this." I say in a mocking voice and she gently slaps me.
"That's mean." She pouts causing me to laugh.
She pushes away from me and picks the ladder up and puts it back where it belongs and I do the same.
"So now what?" I ask sitting down on a bean bag and she shrugs her shoulders.
"The food is on it's way, it should be here either just before they arrive or just after and everything else is ready, oh! Did you invite Ellie?"
"No...I didn't think I could invite anyone."
"Good job I invited her then." Lisa winks at me.
I narrow my eyes at her in confusion and she just gives me a toothy grin before walking over to the window and looking out for the girls.
"Oh! Oh! They're here." She says excitedly.
We stand in the middle of the room and wait for the door to open.
"But that's the last time I ever try to flirt with Ja-."
"SURPRISE!" Lisa and I shout cutting Lauren off from what she was saying.
The girls, followed by their brothers and parents walk into the house with smiles on their faces but clearly surprised.
"You guuuuuuys." Katherine says walking over and wrapping her arms around us both hugging us.
"It was all Lisa's idea. I just helped set everything up."
"Pfft. Don't lie. You came up with a few ideas too, plus if it wasn't for you this party wouldn't have even existed." Lisa says shoving me slightly.
"PARTY TIME!" Dani yells running over to me and hugging me. "Let's put some music on."
"Ladies and gentlemen may I have your attention." I say loudly causing everyone to laugh.
I walk over to Lisa's laptop and begin to scroll through the music deciding which song to play first.
"I'll be your DJ for this evening so let's kick this party off with one of your favorite songs." I say before pressing play and Once In A Lifetime by One Direction began to play. I watched as Lauren's face lit up and I couldn't help but smile.
The girls, except for Lauren crowded around Lisa and talked to her. Lauren walked over to me and wrapped her arm around my shoulder.
"This is amazing. I don't think Lisa has planned anything so cool like this before, yeah she's planned picnics and beach trips stuff like that...But a party. Wow."
"Well, she did have my help." I wink and Lauren laughs.
I hear the doorbell go and figure it must be the pizzas.
I open the door and my jaw drops at Ellie who is stood there smiling at me shyly. She's curled her hair and she's wearing jeans and a Walking Dead shirt...To everyone else she just looks normal and nothing special...But to me she looks really beautiful tonight.
"Hey Jade."
"Uh..Hi.."
"You gonna let me in?" She laughs and I move to the side and she walks in.
"Yaaaay! Ellie!" Lauren says excitedly and hugs her.
I close the door slowly and just look at Ellie who is talking to Lauren and Dani, as I look at her I feel a strange feeling in my stomach.
One that I've never felt before.
Ellie catches me looking and she waves at me and I wave back.
"You're welcome." Lisa whispers as she walks past me.
I shake off whatever's wrong with me and continue to have a good time. I dance with the girls and even their brothers join in. We sing a little and once the pizza arrived we ate it and just had fun.
We sit around the karaoke machine and laugh and cheer as we all take it in turns to sing.
I look over towards Ellie and that feeling comes back. I quickly stand up and make my way to the door.
"You okay Jay?" Lauren asks
I nod my head and smile. "Yeah just want some air."
She nods her head at me and I walk outside and smile as I see the party lights from outside the window.
I rest my back against the wall and look up at the sky. I count the stars but there's so many out.
The door opens again and Ellie closes it behind her.
"Going to head home now." She says before she goes to walk away.
I grab her arm gently and turn her around.
"Please stay a little longer. The party's only just getting started."
"It's been going for the past four hours. It's gone eleven and I'm tired." She says clearly moody but it's only because she's tired.
"Okay..Goodnight." I wrap my arms around her and hug her.
She pulls away from the hug and gives me a small smile. I slowly lean in and our lips touch. She doesn't move away, instead she wraps her arms around my neck and I wrap mine around her waist and pull her closer.
"Oh. Sorry."
We pull away quickly to see Lauren stood there not knowing where to look.
"Goodnight Jade." Ellie whispers before pecking my cheek and walking home.
Lauren continues to avert her gaze somewhere else but by the way her facial expression is...I can tell she's hurt...But why?
