Chapter 8: True Beauty

The following week, right before classes, Jihyun, Woohyun and I were called to go to the Principal's Office.

"Heol! What did we do?!" Woohyun asked.

"I don't recall doing something bad!" said Jihyun.

"He probably just want to talk to us. I mean, last Friday our club opened so... yeah... maybe that's it!" I said rather weakly.

We knocked on the door of Principal Park's office. We heard him said come in and the three of us went inside.

"Ah! Please take a seat you three." He said. We sat on the chairs before his table. "So! How did the first day of clubs go?" he asked.

The three of us looked at each other and started smiling.

"Well sir..."

We told him what happened the moment we started waiting for new members or requests, right to the point we returned Irene's ring to her.

"Hahaha! What an exciting first day for the Help Club! Hahaha! I wish you all the best!"

"Thank you sir!" we replied to him.

"Now then, the reason I called you three here is this: I would like to express my gratitude to the three of you."

"Gratitude sir?" Jihyun asked.

"I don't quite follow you sir..." I said.

"What I meant was, I thank you three for changing the Black Roses' attitudes towards the students of this school. I've received so many reports last Friday saying the students no longer fear them and that they've stopped bullying!"

"Ah yes sir. Well, the Black Roses are working you see at her brother's café." Woohyun said as he pointed at me.

"Oh! So it's true! The rumours! Hahaha!"

"Yes sir. My brother actually asked them to change since he heard what they did to me during my first day here." I said.

"What do you mean?"

I told him what happened during my first day at school.

"Good gracious! They did that to you?!"

"Yes sir but, I'm fine with them now. I'm friends with them already."

"I see, I see. Well, that's good to hear then. At least no serious harm was done to you."

"Except for her heart..." Woohyun whispered.

"What was that?" Principal Park asked him. I shot a glare at Woohyun.

"Ah! Nothing sir! Just saying, we might miss a lot on our Math class!" said Woohyun.

"Of course, of course! Hahaha! You may all go back to your classroom now. I do hope all the best for the Help Club!"

We got back to our classroom while Sir. K.Will was still inside.

"Why did Principal Park call you three?" Wonho asked me as I sat down.

"Oh um, he asked us about the opening of our club last Friday... and... um..."

"And what?"

"He thanked us for changing you guys."

"Oh... I see. That's... okay then."

"Yeah... you guys really have changed."

"How much so?"

"Let's see, we don't argue too much anymore. That's one. Oh and the rest of the Black Roses aren't terrifying as they used to be."
